Great practices to put in action
Revisado: 12-08-24
I have to say when I first started listening to this book I was like oh no, it’s gonna be one of those however I was pleasantly surprised that it did not end up being that. And I am glad I finished the book and it’s entirety. Jen has a simplistic way of looking at One’s life and has actionable items, a person can take to improve upon or get out of a rut. I recommend this audio/book for any entrepreneur or person that might be struggling or may have plateaued. There are some great concepts and practices that you can use to help oneself. This audio/book connects at the personal level. Thank you Jen for providing this story and information.

Must-Read/Listen for Entrepreneurs at Every Stage
Revisado: 10-20-24
I really enjoyed this book—it struck a balance between relatable, inspiring, and thought-provoking. At times, it made me reflect on my own entrepreneurial journey, and I couldn’t help but think, “Why can’t I do this?” It challenged me to confront where I’m falling short but in a way that feels productive because I’m learning and discovering new opportunities and ways of thinking. While it’s not my usual kind of entrepreneur read, I’m glad I picked it up. It underscored the importance of having a clear strategy and surrounding yourself with the right people—you just can’t do it alone.

Historia
When Elon Musk was a kid in South Africa, he was regularly beaten by bullies. One day a group pushed him down some concrete steps and kicked him until his face was a swollen ball of flesh. He was in the hospital for a week. But the physical scars were minor compared to the emotional ones inflicted by his father, an engineer, rogue, and charismatic fantasist.

The rabbit hole, the entire whole, almost
Revisado: 10-09-24
I’m not typically a book reader, but I do love hearing great stories, and this biography of Elon Musk is just that—a truly compelling story. Each theme is engaging and thought-provoking, with plenty of moments that made me go, “aha!” My admiration for Musk hasn’t changed; in fact, it’s deepened. He’s an entrepreneur and innovator, willing to take bold risks. Yet, understanding the roots of some of his controversial ideas helped me see him as a flawed, relatable human being. I highly recommend this book, whether you read or listen, to gain insight into his character and imperfections.

Historia
Meet a genuine American folk hero cut from the homespun cloth of America's heartland: Sam Walton, who parlayed a single dime store in a hardscrabble cotton town into Wal-Mart, the largest retailer in the world. The undisputed merchant king of the late 20th century, Sam never lost the common touch. Here, finally, inimitable words. Genuinely modest, but always sure of his ambitions and achievements. Sam shares his thinking in a candid, straight-from-the-shoulder style. In a story rich with anecdotes and the "rules of the road" of both Main Street and Wall Street, Sam Walton chronicles the inspiration, heart, and optimism that propelled him to lasso the American Dream.
