Historia
There’s a lot I’ve never told my best friend. The fact that I love him. That I miss him every day he’s gone. That, sometimes, I ache for him with a ferocity that leaves me breathless. Lucky Buchanan tore into my life as a boy, wild and daring, my opposite in every way. He drew me in, stole my heart without trying. He hears me, even though I rarely speak a word. But I always knew this place wouldn’t be enough for my free-spirited friend. I knew he wasn’t mine to keep.

A lot of pointless dialogue
Revisado: 07-02-24
This is my second, and likely my last, story by this author. Foil Hearts was the first. I get hopeful because the premise seems great, then I start to get to know the characters and find them to be prone to unnecessary conflict, and then am exhausted from their pointless dialogue that tries so hard to hold up the story but just can’t.

Beautifully and faithfully performed

I forgot how often Anne’s story makes me cry and how lovely her journey is. The cast was perfect and I’m only sorry that the remaining stories in the series are not here with the performers in continuation of their roles. Hopefully, soon.

Historia
At only 32, Bishop Stockley has lived a hard-knock life. After doing five years in a federal prison, Bishop is back at his dad's trailer and working for his landscaping company, thrust into a legit world where he's no longer the alpha - a world where a criminal record is the least of his disadvantages, because Bishop can't read or write. Bishop already had the deck stacked against him, but he wasn't afraid of hard work to change his situation. Especially after he encountered Edison Scala, a kind-spirited office manager who didn't hesitate to come to his defense...

A Voice to Turn a Straight Man Gay. ;)
- De Anonymous User en 04-02-20
One of my favorite stories/series
Revisado: 07-11-23
I love the full series and consider all three books to make one complete story rather than as standalone books. Tor Thom has a great reading voice and timber; However, I did find that the way he would pause could sometimes blur the distinction between what comprised narrative vs dialogue. His vocal range isn’t broad, so be aware that it’s not easy to be certain which character is speaking (or expressing thoughts) if that is important to you in an audiobook. If you know the books well enough from having read them, then his reading won’t present a barrier to enjoying the audio!

Historia
Kelly Cannon is satisfied with his life. He has friends, a wonderful family, and a great job. But his love life has reached a new level of pitiful. Why? Well, his heart decided to break all the rules. Don't fall in love with a straight guy. And definitely don't fall in love with your best friend. NFL standout Britton "Blue" Montgomery has pressure coming at him from all sides. When Kelly admits he's in love with Blue, bonds are tested, and Blue has to decide what's really important.

Don’t buy this book
Revisado: 06-19-23
This book really was a big disappointment for me because the continuation of the story in book 2 did not provide the character Kelly with any personal growth. He’s pretty toxic and mentally unhealthy in ways I’d hoped would come to resolution by the ending of book 2; However, no such luck. He stays awful and the reader is left flabbergasted as to why Blue would want to be in any kind of relationship with him.

Historia
A year ago, Kelly Cannon couldn't imagine he'd end up with his formerly straight best friend. It's hard to believe he can finally kiss Blue anytime he wants...as long as they're in private. And there's the rub. Despite Kelly's promise to wait until Blue is ready to come out, he's tired of sneaking around. The cracks in their relationship are starting to show, and there might not be enough Spackle in the world to fix them.

Disappointing
Revisado: 06-19-23
I bought this duet during the sale and loved the premise and performers. Unfortunately, the MC Kelly was one of the worst devised characters. Indecisive, manufacturing drama and problems for Blue to deal with, and gaslighting Blue most of the time. It made the story of this successful, Bi-awakened football star (Blue) completely unbelievable because there’s no circumstance in which he would want to put up with being in a relationship with such a basket case. That he is choosing to commit to a toxic partnership just makes this less a romance and much more of a tragedy.

Loved this audio version but..,
Revisado: 06-07-23
It would have been better for the two narrators to conference on how they intended to represent each others characters. River was done well by both but the narrator for River put his own twist on Holden when speaking lines for him that really jolted me out of the story because it was nothing like what the narrator actually playing Holden chose to do.

I’m in love with my best friend. Lie. I’m in love with my enemy. Truth. But they’re the same. They. Are. The. Same. Lines in my world are blurry between fantasy and reality. Truth and lies. Love and hate. Copeland Justice is my enemy. My once best friend. The sadist in my heart plucking and pulling at every thread of who I am until I’m unraveled at his feet. His mouth says he hates me. His eyes burn with animosity for me. His heart beats for someone else. But Copeland Justice is the best liar of us all.

Canned story, nothing original or interesting
Revisado: 01-12-23
This really was a repetition of every M/M romance where the author isn’t relying on a good plot and is instead seeking opportunities for setup of an explicit scene. If that’s your thing, you’ll probably like this. I didn’t care much for it and found it boring. The narrators were excellent though, so there’s that at least.

Historia
When Viola Carroll was presumed dead at Waterloo she took the opportunity to live, at last, as herself. But freedom does not come without a price, and Viola paid for hers with the loss of her wealth, her title, and her closest companion, Justin de Vere, the Duke of Gracewood. Only when their families reconnect, years after the war, does Viola learn how deep that loss truly was. Shattered without her, Gracewood has retreated so far into grief that Viola barely recognizes her old friend in the lonely, brooding man he has become.

Love the story, dislike the narrator
Revisado: 05-25-22
I love and adore Alexis Hall and have quite a few of their stories in my audible library that I listen to on repeat. This, I’m sad to say, won’t be one. This is not because of the story itself, which is excellent and as well constructed as I’d hope, but entirely on the shoulders of the narrator who does no justice to the characters. There are awkward pauses that come out of nowhere mid-conversation, the character voices for the females sounds strained and uncomfortable, and there seems to be very little emotional range in the narrator’s toolbox.
I’ll likely borrow a library copy to read instead so I can enjoy the story with my own inner narrator. Disappointed.
