Important and honest information for friends and/or family of an addict from a former addict. For this, however, stick to the later chapters covering tips and tricks for getting and staying sober, enjoying sobriety, and supporting someone who's ready to become sober (though this info is mainly for someone who they themselves are on the path to recovery). Only drawback is that I wish Audible had edited the author's last 2 chapters, as every reader messes up reading. Otherwise worth a listen.

Misleading: Religious References Throughout

Total

Revisado: 04-16-21

Though I have nothing against the positive aspects of religion, I should have read the comments 1st because I didn't realize this book relied on references to Christianity, scripture, and Jesus. Maybe someone finds this useful. Not awful, just not my cup of tea. However, in the chapter about identity, Kim Davis wasn't jailed because of her identity as a Christian, she was jailed because she refused to perform her job which she's mandated by law to do as a federal employee. Ridiculous.
