Sales 101
Revisado: 04-07-16
Would you try another book from Meridith Elliott Powell and/or Christy Lynn?
NO
Has 42 Rules to Turn Prospects into Customers, 2nd Edition turned you off from other books in this genre?
No, there are many outstanding books out there on sales training
What three words best describe Christy Lynn’s performance?
Basic, sales 101, pre-school
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
If I was starting my first ever sale job tomorrow, it would be helpful
Any additional comments?
Not that the book is bad, it is just so basic and been done better so many times before. If your very new to sales the concepts are solid and you need to know them inside and out. If you have been is sales more than a year find a book with more to teach than the very basic sale ideas. Most sales people by the end of 1 year in sale would know every thing in the book or they would be out of sales.

Historia
Of the 17 million people in the U.S. who are involved directly or indirectly in sales, many repeatedly acknowledge facing four major challenges: No prior sales education or training; lack of formalized sales training, resources, and methodologies provided by their companies, due to the recession and "downsizing era"; lack of 12-18-month professional sales training for new hires provided by Fortune 500 companies; and a consistent struggle to keep their sales force, distributors, manufacturers reps and affiliates motivated and focused on effectively selling their products and services.

Save Your time and effort
Revisado: 03-12-15
Would you try another book from Eric Taylor and David Riklan and/or Charles Carr?
Not based on this one
What was most disappointing about Eric Taylor and David Riklan ’s story?
The whole thing--All they do is promo for other peoples sale programs--one or 2 bits---You spend more time hearing about how to contact and the programs of sales trainners than anything to do with sales training. It is just one very long sale promo
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Mastering the World of Selling?
Start with page one and cut to the end
Any additional comments?
This audio book is one big bore---

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
provide the plan he keeps talking about--after 8 hours of talking still no program, just lots of words about being a male. It just puts more mud in the water for people looking to get or be healthier. There is nothing new here. It is up to each person to keep informed on the latest health info and find what will work best in our life plan.
Make your plan based on solid research---Look at the Great courses books for a great start. Than search for more info armed with science based info. If you want the program download the PDF read it, if you like it than go buy the program and save you ears from 8 hours of dribble.
Has Man 2.0 Engineering the Alpha turned you off from other books in this genre?
No one bad apple does not spoil the batch--just a wordy book selling his program
What about John Romaniello and Adam Bornstein ’s performance did you like?
Good voice quality--easy to listen to
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Man 2.0 Engineering the Alpha?
The off colored words---They seem smart enough to use better words--maybe they felt it gave a shock value--maybe they felt it was a cool way to write---
Any additional comments?
Save your money-but most of all save your time--that is the sad part I wasted 6+ hours waiting for THE PROGRAM--but I must now go now and buy the program---they do have a download with the book 115+ pages--maybe it in that---If so let us know up front-I could have spent 6+ hours reading that a skip the book--most the time I was wondering just what the hick they were talking about.

Not a book for Me
Revisado: 12-07-13
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
No. After about 2 hrs I shut it off---You may like it, I had heard it all done much better in other Books. Just seem to me like a very slow repeat of older information. I love-Tracy, Hill, Carnegie, Maxwell, The Great Courses---If u like these don't buy this book
What was most disappointing about Gary Keller and Jay Papasan ’s story?
This is a rehash of very old Ideas. It takes forever for them to get to any point. My mind would wonder off and I wold laugh. This book is about focus
What three words best describe Timothy Miller and Claire Hamilton ’s voice?
Most audible books are slow--this one tops the chart here
What did you take away from The ONE Thing that you can apply to your work?
Focus
Any additional comments?
You may or may not like this book. It has been done much better in other books. Please keep in mind we all learn differently. This was just to long and boring for me. Remember you can return it for up to 1 year--So if you prefer a slower pace- Try it

What made the experience of listening to Make Today Count the most enjoyable?
So many books today spend countless pages /hours telling stories or covering research, you wonder just what is the point they want to convey. Done in the style of many of the great writers, Hill, Allen, Stone etc.
I went through the audio program in one day and was surprised when it was over, I was so engrossed in learning. Ordered the book to go with the audio program. Already using many of the fine points to improve may daily action and life
