JA Devereaux does an amazing job in this book! while the 3rd in the series, the characters of Gregg, Carly, Denny and the rest of the team come together so strongly as an ensemble. The characters are very well developed and the plot is fun with enough twists and gotcha moments to keep you guessing all the way through the climax.

The new male narrator does a fabulous job creating the story and voicing believable characters.

I'm looking forward to the next audiobook in the series.

Engaging story with Great Character Development

JA Devereaux creates an excellent start of the story and series in this book! The pacing was excellent, the motivations believable, and the dynamics between the characters was engaging. Noble brigand, gentleman thief, true-blue G-man, and capable career special law enforcement woman all combine in a story that keeps the pages turning and audible on.

Narrator Seth Thompson does a good job bringing the characters to life while keeping focus on the story.

Excited to start the next book in the series.

Finally, A Truly Epic New Story

This book by Phil Tucker was incredible, as was the narration my Nick Podehl. There were so many twists and turns and ups and downs that keep you rapt throughout. Other books would split an epic story like this across 3 or 4 volumes. I was so pleased to have this all in one, cohesive and tight tale. The setting was original. The characters grow throughout the book which is very enjoyable to watch. The finale is satisfying and keeps you looking forward to the next one. Well done. A must-read for fans of epic fantasy who tire of sword & sorcery.

these books need to do better.
this was a slog through hyperbole, contradictory arguments and bald pettiness.

there are very good arguments against Christianity and evangelicalism. this is not one of them

Fun use of a cool concept

Good story. loved the interweaving of history, alternative history, genetics, fantasy and languages.
Minor weakspots in plot but overall a good listen. safe for kids to listen to as well.

I love that Will Wheaton is understandable at 2x speed.

cleverly imagined and very well thought-through story that has an enigmatic event at its core. It doesn't stop there, though. Spin keeps on delivering fun and thought-provoking scenarios. 10/10.

Reads like a textbook

There are some very interesting concepts in this book. From accelerated evolution to alien terraforming. Unfortunately, there is very little character development. Characters are one dimensional and static. This creates a ponderous tone that is more dry parable and less inspirational or aspirational story.
