Historia
When COVID-19 sweeps through New York City, Jamie Gray is stuck as a dead-end driver for food-delivery apps. That is, until Jamie makes a delivery to an old acquaintance, Tom, who works at what he calls “an animal rights organization”. Tom’s team needs a last-minute grunt to handle things on their next field visit. Jamie, eager to do anything, immediately signs on. What Tom doesn't tell Jamie is that the animals his team cares for are not here on Earth. Not our Earth, at at least. In an alternate dimension, dinosaur-like creatures named Kaiju roam a warm and human-free world.

A hilarious romp in a wild world
Revisado: 06-07-22
I couldn't stop listening and loved every second. Between John Scalzi's wit and Will Wheaton's delivery, the book was *chef's kiss* just perfectly what I needed. I can't wait to listen to it again.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

A masterwork
Revisado: 12-03-21
Incredible memorable characters, the narrator really sells the characters emotions, their highs and their lows. the story has all the science you could want, much like the Martian, and all the twists and turns of a great mystery. Highly recommend.

Historia
The Earth is changing. The alien invasion brought social upheaval, advanced technology, and an armada of peacekeeping robots. But Alan, a college student pursuing a now-useless degree, cares little about all of this. He has only one thing on his mind: the Game. A fully immersive virtual reality, the Game appears to be a major part of the invading civilization. Alan can't wait to play, recklessly diving into the digital universe. Soon though, Alan realizes the Game is anything but simple, and the stakes are higher than he ever imagined.

Historia
No one knows where the brilliant-colored spheres came from. One day they were just there, hidden all over the Earth like huge gemstones. Burn a pair, and they make you a little better: an inch taller, skilled at math, better looking. The rarer the sphere, the greater the improvement - and the more expensive the sphere.

A great concept, only wished there was more!
Revisado: 02-07-16
Gonna be hard to write this without spoilers, but in a nutshell, the concept of the spheres is awesome. The characters are well fleshed out, the backstop compelling, and the pacing is good. Just wish there was more. So many more questions about the origins of the spheres and the larger ramifications of that knowledge.
All in all, a great read/listen. Michel Ferraiuolo did a great job with the multitude of voices in this story. Overall, a great young adult sci-fi adventure. Would definitely recommend this book!

Historia
Daemon is firmly in control, using an expanded network of real-world, dispossessed darknet operatives to tear apart civilization and rebuild it anew. Soon civil war breaks out in the American Midwest, in a brutal wave of violence that becomes known as the Corn Rebellion. Former detective Pete Sebeck, now the Daemon's most powerful - though reluctant - operative, must lead a small band of enlightened humans toward a populist movement designed to protect the new world order. But the private armies of global business are preparing to crush the Daemon once and for all.

A plausible view of the future
Revisado: 10-06-12
After reading Daemon, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Freedom. I can only weep as it appears to only be a two book series, the concept behind it is phenomenal.
Daniel Suarez, being a tech consultant before becoming an author, has a keen eye for technical details and everything he mentions is either already a technology or is actively being worked on, which for me, is a rare treat to be treasured.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves technology and cares about our society and where it's headed.
