I s. Hea missed the high school graduations of both my brother and me. It was horribly hard for him when he came back. Made much harder because my brother became a conscientious resister although he did serve 2 years alternative service in a hospital. It took years to get over PTSD he also fought in the South Pacific, Korea, and many other places like Cuba and in the Mediterranean. He never talked about his experiences. My mother told me some after he died at age 90.
liked the whole book. My dad wrote everyday and sent cards and such to my brother and I. I actually just framed some and gave them to my two granddaughters so they could remember. The youngest was 2 and the other 22 when he died and my oldest grandson who was 9 at the time wears 2 of his Marine jackets still

Excellent! I have read much about French and Dutch resistance and Denmark’s saving their citizen and I found this book right on target. Familiar actions, names, places. Wanted to read in one sitting, kept my attention throughout.
