I order another bourbon, neat. This is the drink that will flip the switch. I don’t even know how I got here, to this place, to this point. Something is happening to me lately. I’m drinking too much. My sheets are soaking wet when I wake up from nightmares of decaying corpses. I order another drink and swig it, trying to forget about the latest case I can’t shake. Crime solving for me is more complex than the challenge of the hunt, or the process of piecing together a scientific puzzle. The thought of good people suffering drives me to the point of obsession.

Paul Holes Is So Darn Cool!
Revisado: 05-01-22
I have listened to Paul’s podcast with Billy and love how he interacts with the My Favorite Murder gals, but now I feel like I know a bit more how chasing monsters has been a blessing and burden. Thank goodness he is helping people, it is just hard that it comes at such a cost to Mrs. Holes and his kids.

Great history mystery with a hunky hero!
Revisado: 07-18-18
I loved this book! Sean Wyatt was a fun character that reminded me of the cleverness of Nelson DeMille's John Corey and the smart history buff of Dan Brown's Robert Langdon. I was super surprised to find myself liking Sean right from the start (usually it takes me a couple of books to really get to know a character.) The pace of the story was fast and there were some super interesting ideas that made me do that "mind blown" motion off the side of my head. Will for sure get the rest of the series! I thought the narrator did a good job, an interesting and entertaining listen!

Best self help book for women ever!
Revisado: 07-02-18
I am definitely not a self help kind of gal (I have friends who are so I know what they look like!) But I decided to dive in and check out a few audio books and started with not Rachel's book. Whoa, that first one was not a winner (I loved the concept but it was not a great listen). So I started Rachel's book with a little bit of trepidation. And now I am a total convert. I LOVED this book so much that I bought it for my girlfriend who just had a baby and is an entrepreneur too! I love that Rachel read this herself and all the wisdom she gave throughout! I am a total fan girl now! I don't always find that "youngsters" have good ideas (Rachel is just a little older than my oldest daughter), but she is wise beyond her years!

A little outdated tech wise but a great story
Revisado: 04-13-18
This is one of my all-time favorite audible books. The story is amazing edge of your seat exciting and you don’t guess the whole thing the way you do and so many thrillers.
And the narrator is such a good voice actor.

Revisado: 03-12-17
I loved the works of Michael Crichton and this book felt like it had that same kind of mix of smart science and superb storytelling!
There were a couple of places where I was like, no I did NOT see that coming which is rare as I am good at guessing endings early.
This story was finished (I hate open questions!) but enough going on that I can't wait for book 2!!

Such a fun story with a great narrator!
Revisado: 02-26-17
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this to anyone who loves Paul Hogan or Orson Scott Card. It is fast paced but thoughtful, not just a mashup of things but a real storyline to follow.
What was one of the most memorable moments of We Are Legion (We Are Bob)?
I really liked the way the fate of the earth and humans came out over time instead of in a big story.
Which character – as performed by Ray Porter – was your favorite?
Bob...HA! I thought the challenge was to be all the bobs without it becoming confusing or too hokey without all different voices.
Any additional comments?
I am so glad I found this when the next one was on deck to dome out. Don't know how long I would have wanted to wait!

I had thought it might be a repeat of "the show"
Revisado: 03-12-16
I have listened to both Crush It and The Thank You Economy and this book far exceeded all of my expectations. One of my main concerns was that this book was going to be just reading the answers from the show and it was nothing like that. Gary's thoughtful consideration of each answer was obvious and really informative. I will be listening to this one again.

Such an awesome, practical book for creatives!
Revisado: 03-09-16
I first heard about this book through Marie Forkeo and even though I had seen it before, I had never picked it up. Then I saw an interview with Elizabeth and was really intrigued by her style of thinking about creativity. I loved everything about this book from her style of speaking which is very low-key to her funny wit and interesting commentary about creativity and inspiration. If you are in a creative business make sure to listen to this one more than once.

Half Mystery, Half Love Story
Revisado: 09-01-15
Would you listen to Axis of Aaron again? Why?
I would definitely listen to Axis of Aaron again! So full of twists and turns that you feel like you are sitting in a tilt-a-whirl, but in the really great way as each little piece of the story spins out and more is revealed.
What other book might you compare Axis of Aaron to and why?
Listening to this I was reminded of the magical other worldy-ness of Black House and the Talisman where you are never really fully in this world, or totally on the other side either.
What about David H. Lawrence XVII’s performance did you like?
I thought Mr. Lawrence gave a really solid performance. His reading of the story was steady and measured, letting the words speak instead of having to be distracted by his performance.
Any additional comments?
This is not one of those books you "get" right in the first couple of minutes listening. Please take the time to get into the story. A couple of times I started thinking "oh I know what is going on" and then bam, another part opened up and I was hooked on a whole other level!I was given a review copy of this work to leave an honest review.
