Historia
Raithe, the God Killer, may have started the rebellion by killing a Fhrey, but longstanding enmities dividing the Rhune make it all but impossible to unite against the common foe. And even if the clans can join forces, how will they defeat an enemy whose magical prowess renders them indistinguishable from gods? The answer lies across the sea in a faraway land populated by a reclusive and dour race who feel nothing but disdain for both Fhrey and mankind.

Historia
In Age of Myth, fantasy master Michael J. Sullivan launched audiences on an epic journey of magic and adventure, heroism and betrayal, love and loss. Now the thrilling saga continues as the human uprising is threatened by powerful enemies from without—and bitter rivalries from within. Raithe, the God Killer, may have started the rebellion by killing a Fhrey, but long-standing enmities dividing the Rhunes make it all but impossible to unite against the common foe. And even if the clans can join forces, how will they defeat an enemy whose magical prowess renders them indistinguishable from gods?

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

a good storyline that takes a bit to get into it
Revisado: 02-23-18
A good detailed storyline with good character development over the first book.
the narrator's and speakers do an excellent job, and I would recommend them highly.
the storyline itself is a bit too wordy, and it actually takes the complete first book to get an understanding of where the story is going.
while it's a good story it doesn't have the type of ongoing lighthearted humor such as D. Eddings is known for, thus at times I found myself wishing it would hurry along a bit.

Historia
Picking up from A Discovery of Witches' cliff-hanger ending, Shadow of Night takes reluctant witch Diana Bishop and vampire geneticist Matthew Clairmont on a trip through time to Elizabethan London, where they are plunged into a world of spies, magic, and a coterie of Matthew's old friends, the School of Night. As the search for Ashmole 782—the lost and enchanted manuscript whose mystery first pulled Diana and Matthew into one another's orbit—deepens and Diana seeks out a witch to tutor her in magic, the net of Matthew's past tightens around them.

When the world was young and Gods still walked among their mortal children, a headstrong orphan boy set out to explore the world. Thus began the extraordinary adventures that would mold that youthful vagabond into a man, and the man into the finely honed instrument of Prophecy known to all the world as Belgarath the Sorcerer.

Loved it!!! Keeps the story alive a little longer
Revisado: 10-25-11
Eddings is my favorite author. His earlier works are best. The Garion and Sparhawk books are wonderfully written. Great character development. Lots of adventure and lots of laughs, terrific combination.
I have to say that I cringed at some of the pronunciations the narrator made on some of the names in this book, but oh well, the story is still a good one.

Then a curious personality change begins to take place, as Spock is overcome with giddy delight and Q begins to act serious, even logical. Masterfully performed by Leonard Nimoy and John de Lancie!

Star Trek: Spock vs. Q, The Sequel

I really enjoyed the personality swap of Spock and Q. I have both the original and The Sequel and have laughed every time I listen to it.
