Embrace the change
Revisado: 12-18-23
Thank you Ms. Frost. This new version of books has allowed me to listen to one of my favorite series. The original narrator did an excellent job with Kat, however her embodiment of Bones was cringe-worthy which I could not endure. So Graphic Audio has not only brought Bones the charismatic Master Vampire voice he much needed, this new edition has brought the series to life. I look forward to listening to the rest.

Ilona Andrews, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Kate Daniels series, invites you to a fresh start for Kate, Curran and Conlan, in a long novella and a short novel. The places and faces may be different, but they’ve brought some familiar friends and all the special brand of chaos they create!

The narrator may have changed however, Kate is still the same character and her pronunciation for words she has spoken throughout the entire KD series should not change with the narrator.
It gave me pause when I heard Mahon, bouda and Shinar the first time. It took away from the listening enjoyment.
Michael Glenn, welcome to the life of Curran. I look forward to hearing more from you. Yay for Graphic Audio.

Bones is back to tell you his side of what happened when he spent four long years looking for Cat, the half vampire now known as the “Red Reaper.” But now that he’s found her, has time hardened Bones too much to risk love again? Or will his passion for Cat burn through every obstacle–alive, undead, or otherwise–between them?

Bones *sigh*
Bones POV enriches an already exceptional series. I quite enjoy the upgrade in technology as it brings the stories up to date and makes it more relatable and I applaud Ms. Frost’s ability to incorporate the new tech seamlessly without any hiccups in the story.
I appreciate Bones POV is not a carbon copy of Cat’s POV. I especially appreciate the behind the scenes with Bones side - his blind naïveté regarding Annette - gah could have thrown a shoe at his head.
Change could be a good thing - Tavia Gilbert could not deliver the charisma and masculine allure that Will Watt embodies so well as Bones. Close your eyes, envision Bones with Wills voice, then with Tavias…enough said.
Brava Ms. Frost on an excellent addition to a beloved series.

Ten 👍🏻s up!
Revisado: 04-18-23
I absolutely enjoy the dramatized adaptations of this series. These variations was a book wish as I could not reconcile the uncharismatic, pitchy pirate narration of Bones in the previous versions of the audio books.
The characters all have various voices which makes a tremendous difference in the listening experience also the sound effects make the book come to life especially in the fight sequences. Absolutely worth it.
Eagerly waiting to preorder number 4 and the release date for 5.

Ever wondered what Bones was thinking and feeling, when he and half-vampire Cat Crawfield first met? Or how their story might differ if he were the one telling it? Now, relive the beginning of Cat and Bones' best-selling love story through Bones' point of view, which reveals a darker, sexier take on their early days, as well as a deeper dive into Bones' past, the vampire world, and other things that Cat didn't see, when their story was told only through her eyes in Halfway to the Grave. Cat had her say. Now, it's Bones' turn.

Two for one
Revisado: 03-10-23
Tavia Gilbert was excellent as Kat however, she devastated me as Bones so much so I couldn’t finish listening to one of my favorite books. In Tavia’s narration she made Bones into an entirely different MMC who lacked charisma, power and most of all considering his background sex appeal.
Now do we not only get Bones’ half of the grave he is also redeemed auditory wise.

Half-vampire Cat Crawfield is now Special Agent Cat Crawfield, working for the government to rid the world of the rogue undead. It really is a “movie in your mind”.
I’m so excited Ms. Frost chose to utilize Graphic Audio. As someone who loves this series I just couldn’t bear and listen to Tavia Gilbert as Bones who sounded, high pitched, nasally and came off as a slime ball. So sadly I only purchased the first audio book in the series. Now it’s like Christmas. Smooth, charismatic voice for Bones, and sound effects that prime your senses for the scenes, particularly the action sequences. Best of all I can finally listen to one of my favorite series. Chefs kiss.

Different character voices combined with the sound effects made the listening experience thrilling and anticipatory. Bones truly needed a sexy male voice (sorry Tavia) and both the new release male narrators nailed his magnetism. Loved it. Look forward to the rest of the series in the graphic adaptation.

Historia
What started out as a strange assignment leads to one of the most gruesome murder mysteries of our time, and my friends and I are set and determined to find out who is killing off Fae and Witches alike. Couple of problems in the way - I hate the Fae, and the Prince of the Dark Fae is bound and determined that I work for him. He’s a rude, overbearing, egotistical ass with a compulsive need to possess, dominate, and control me. Oh - did I mention that he is absolutely sex-on-a-stick gorgeous and he makes me feel things that I never ever wanted to feel for a Fae....

Terrible female narrator
Revisado: 02-23-20
Exception of cliffhanger; fantastic first installment however, cringe worthy, over the top breathy female narrator. She had horrible inflections if any, didn’t convey the sarcasms properly and truly disappointingly ruined the depths of emotions the story was trying to tell with her lack of personality for the characters.
After listening to exceptional narrators like Hollie Jackson, Renee Raudman, Susan Ericksen etc., sadly I wouldn’t be buying the next installment of the book.
