This should should be titled "A Neo-Marxist Look at the Great Gatsby Through the Lens of Class, Race, and Gender."

The author presents many interesting observations and theories (including the unquestioned assertion that narrator Nick is "queer" and that he had sex with Mr. Mckee). This audiobook is an interesting work, but it should be branded as what it is: a postmodern look at Gatsby through modern academic "theory", rather than a straight-up retrospective on its 100th anniversary.

Where does Neuromancer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Neuromancer is one of the greatest and most influential SF novels of all time. It should be required reading. The Audible reviews faulting the narration by Robertson Dean make me wonder if the listeners have actually read Gibson's novels (I have, all of them, many times). Dean's voice is perfect for Gibson's noir future, with the notable exception of his female characters, who all sound like breathless southern belles. Given Molly's prominence in the novel, this is a real shortcoming. But Dean's rendering of the text, and all the male voices, including the ethnic accents, is so good that I'm willing to overlook this failing and simply revel in Dean's evocation of Gibson's dark cyber world.
