Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Revisado: 08-09-21
I thought this was a fantastic book. loved the friendship between our heros. I think I will relisten to this book again & again. The narration by Ray Porter was simply fantastic, his accents and even the alien language was so impressive. impressive, impressive. Maybe Andy can write another book from the earth's perspective.

Historia
Daniel leads a rich life and considers himself to be a mostly lucky guy - despite the fact that he’s suffered from a debilitating disease since he was a small child, one that has left him unable to speak or to move without a wheelchair. Largely confined to his home, Daniel spends the hours he’s not online communicating with irate air travelers observing his neighborhood from his front porch. One young woman passes by so frequently that spotting her out the window has almost become part of his daily routine. Until the day he’s almost sure he sees her being kidnapped.

Historia
In The End Is Always Near, Dan Carlin looks at questions and historical events that force us to consider what sounds like fantasy; that we might suffer the same fate that all previous eras did. Will our world ever become a ruin for future archaeologists to dig up and explore? The questions themselves are both philosophical and like something out of The Twilight Zone.

good, interesting and educational

I love all of Mr Carlins pod casts, so I am slightly biased. The only issue I have with this book is that it's too short, I wish he could have done a deep dive into many more ancient cultures.

fantastic
Revisado: 02-07-19
This is a fantastic installment of the extinction series. Even if you haven't read the Nicholas Sansbury Smith extinction cycle you'll enjoy this companion to the series. It's well written, very exciting action and really scary monsters & situations. I had to stop what I was doing a couple times, heart racing, hoping that the character would make it out alive. The narrator is top notch. Do you self a favor and give this series a listen.

I'm not entirely sure why I waited so long to listen to the ORBS series, I love Hell Divers. This is fantastic end of the world action and adventure. I love it when authors create female characters that are tough & smart leaders. Bronson Pinchot is amazing as the narrator, I may have to find other books he's read because his voices & narration are so good. If you love end of the world fiction, start reading. You won't be disappointing.

Tornadoes, cyclones, tsunamis… Weather can be deadly – especially when it strikes without warning. Millions of Americans could soon find themselves at the mercy of violent weather if the public data behind lifesaving storm alerts gets privatized for personal gain. In his first Audible Original feature, New York Times best-selling author and journalist Michael Lewis delivers hard-hitting research on not-so-random weather data – and how Washington plans to release it.

It OK
Revisado: 09-11-18
I thought that this was a pretty good book, but not great and not really complete. I wish it could have been fleshed out a bit because I think for the complexity of the subject that 2.5 hrs isn't enough time to even get to the root of 'Privatizing weather is bad because....' problem. Although I find the current administration to be horrible, blaming the GOP leaders for All Evil is not really helpful. The other thing that was a bit strange is that the first 1/3 (maybe?) of the book was a biography of Kathy Sullivan. I found her so interesting I wish the rest of the book would have been about The Women of NASA (or something like this) I even listened to this part of the book twice, however, this really had little to do with the rest of the book. I think it needed to pick a subject and go with it.

Revisado: 09-10-18
This is a very exciting book, lots of action and adventure. I like the interluding chapters showing what was happening with Xavier. Can wait till number 4 is out in audible. This was well narrated by RC Bray. I really enjoyed it. Probably not a book that you can hop right into book 3 with, start at the beginning.

a good installment
Revisado: 06-08-18
This is another really action packed installment of The Tide Series. Don't look for a literary masterpiece with lots of hidden meaning or depth. This is a book about action & surviving from Point A to Point B. I love the narrator in this book, he has a lovely voice to listen to. My only complaint is that it really seems impossible that The Hunters could possible survive any more than what they've gone through already. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Historia
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

I liked it
Revisado: 06-08-18
I thought this was a good story. However I thought it got a bit repetitive in spots because parts of the same story were retold again and again. I'd love to see more of a story with the female 'private-eye' she was a favorite character. I thought the last 2/3'rs of the book were better than the beginning of the book. Not the best SK book out there, but it's a good listen & I liked it.
