Fantastic

Although it's clearly a Clive Barker novel. The fokus/obsession on the sexual mixed into the horror like we expect and want from Clive, it also has less horror and a more magical journey feel to it. It makes it a very pleasant read between the action, horror and drama. The story is fantastic. There is little I can say other then: Bravo👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Great book

The book and narration is well worth a listen. Interesting characters, world and story. although there are some minor issues. it feels like one of the characters doesn't really have proper motivation for the "journey" in the story. I do wish there were some extra motivation, and it could easily have been fixed by mixing in parts from the rest of the story. Parts of the story was also Very predictable. To the point where you'll know what's going to happen 2-3 chapters before it happens. To not spoil anything, I won't go into details. But other then that, there are little to complain about. I'd say it's a very good book with good characters and a pretty satisfying ending.

Fascinating, inspirational, motivating and funny stories, ideas and experiences. Excellently narrated by Mathew himself. I absolutely recommend this book to anyone.

A incredibly intelligent, socially savvy and with more charisma and compassion then anyone should be able to have, Deryl Davis vil never fail to have my full, 100% attention. That goes for podcasts, preforming on stage or in the media. this is the one podcast I Never miss.

Annoying narration

The main narrator sounds like a mix of drunk and out of breath. Sometimes he doesn't even finish the words, or at least it sounds like he's not. This became so prevalent, at times it would breaking the immersion of the story.
Otherwise the other narrator's did a fine job. Clear and effortless speech. The music is ok, but unnecessary.
The story is fine, but other then a tiny bit of information towards the end, it does little for the Hellraiser lore. But the story is worth hearing and is probably of interest to fans of the original series.
A good book, if you can get past the drunk and/or dying narrator.

Dark, Horrifying and entoxicating

If horror is what you seek, then you can do a lot worse then "The Scarlet Gospels" by "Clive Barker". The story is engaging, exciting and keeps getting more and more engaging. A masterpeace in my opinion. The narration is excellent and gives every character a life of its own. Absolutely worth a listen.

Amazing story

The story is among the best I've heard/read. Original in many ways.
The narration starts less then ideal, but really picks up as the book goes on. in the end, it is very good (i took a star away for the beginning, as it was distracting). All in all, i strongly recommend this book.

A good book

The book should probably be titled "For women only" as it is 90% about women, for women and to guide women. But an interesting read none the less. A few things should be removed, like the self defense advice. I won't spoil anything, but as a veteran of Kraw Maga myself, i can confidently tell you to Not follow these techniques, they will potentially get you killed. Go get Actual self defense training.
