Historia
Grace O’Brien lives an unapologetic life - one where she uses magick and attitude alike to live exactly as she pleases. With talents far beyond what most can comprehend, Grace dances through life with verve and enthusiasm. But it isn’t all magick and mirth. A secret haunts Grace through the darkest hours of the night. For in her heart lies the soul of a fierce pirate queen, one that has loved and weathered unequivocal loss.

Storyline is a little bit lackluster...
Revisado: 05-04-22
I enjoyed the book, but not quite to the extent that I enjoy the first 6 books. I was left feeling like there should have been pretty to Grace's story considering the entire series is based around her soul! It would be great if there is another book dealing with her in later life with the wild adventures that a soul such as The Pirate Queen deserves. However, I will continue on in the series.

Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

Great narration, Great story, Terrible 1st Chapter
Revisado: 03-10-22
I have listened to this narration over and over again while on the road. The story line is perfect and the narrators voice is just so fitting. as for J.K.'s part, she could have done a little better to make the first chapter more interesting, I imagine for a child this would be a bit dry, but once you really get into it, it's catching and you don't want to stop.

Historia
After a summer spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war among the Greek gods, Percy Jackson finds his seventh-grade school year unnervingly quiet. His biggest problem is dealing with his new friend, Tyson, a six-foot-three, mentally challenged homeless kid who follows Percy everywhere, making it hard for Percy to have any "normal" friends.

Book 2 is definitely better than number 1!

Historia
Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school...again. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he's not even sure he believes himself.

Good read? Check - Cookie Cutter plot? Yes
Revisado: 08-04-21
This audio book was a very good listen. the narrator voiced the different characters well, but the story did seem a bit cookie cutter. I felt like I was reading one of many other stories in a different series of words. Unique in some sense, not so much in another.
