I liked the narrator of the first 3 titles a little better. Otherwise a very good book.

Historia
When builders discover a human skeleton during a renovation of a café, they call in archeologist Dr. Ruth Galloway, who is preoccupied with the threatened closure of her department and by her ever-complicated relationship with DCI Nelson. The bones turn out to be modern—the remains of Emily Pickering, a young archaeology student who went missing in 2002. Suspicion soon falls on Emily’s Cambridge tutor and also on another archeology enthusiast who was part of the group gathered the weekend before she disappeared—Ruth’s friend Cathbad.

A bit disappointing
Revisado: 06-12-23
I have loved every book in this series and eagerly awaited the next one. However, I thought that the extensive recapping of previous books was a little boring and interfered with the new story line. The book didn’t really get interesting until near the end. At least ending was satisfying and worthy of the great characters. I will miss them.

On a rainy November evening, a young woman hurries through the crowd in London’s historic Russell Square. Out of the darkness, someone jostles her, then brushes past. A moment later, she stumbles, collapsing against a tree. When a young mother finds her body and alerts the police, Detective Superintendent Duncan Kincaid and his sergeant, Doug Cullen, are called to the scene. The victim, Sasha Johnson, is a trainee doctor at a nearby hospital, and she’s been stabbed.

I loved every aspect - a worthy addition to one of my all time favorite series by one of my all time favorite authors. The only downside is that now I have to wait for the next one.

I couldn't wait to hear more - and to me that is the sign of a good book. I thought the narrator did an amazing job and the story was fascinating. Elly Griffiths is now a favorite author whose next book I eagerly anticipate.

Historia
If there is one thing the young golfer Lee Ofsted doesn't have on her mind, it is her chances of being selected for the Stewart Cup Tournament ( the competition that pits the greatest American golfers, male and female, against their British and European counterparts. Lee is on no one's list of the !'greatest American golfers," so it comes as a surprise when the great Roger Finley, captain of the American team, invites her to play.

I was drawn to this series because of the golf setting and wound up enjoying the story lines and the narration. Once started I was eager to get back to it and that is what I look for in a book.

Historia
Everything has changed for Ruth Galloway. She has a new job, home, and partner, and she is no longer North Norfolk police’s resident forensic archaeologist. That is, until convicted murderer Ivor March offers to make DCI Nelson a deal. Nelson was always sure that March killed more women than he was charged with. Now March confirms this and offers to show Nelson where the other bodies are buried - but only if Ruth will do the digging. Curious, but wary, Ruth agrees.

Historia
New Mexico has more than its share of unique and well-publicized attributes, but the one they prefer to play down is the fact that they lead the United States in lightning deaths per capita. Thus, the Cottonwood Creek Country Club of Los Alamos, which is hosting the High Desert Women's Classic golf tournament, takes elaborate measures to ensure that the numbers don't go up during the high-profile tournament. Nevertheless, disaster strikes.

Historia
Aaron Elkins, the author of the Edgar-winning Old Bones, teamed up with his wife, Charlotte, to fashion this lighthearted mystery - a fictional look at the less glamorous side of a golf tour. In this first Lee Ofsted mystery, Lee is a "rabbit" golfer in the Pacific-Western Women's Pro-Am. She made it into the tournament by the skin of her teeth and suddenly she can't keep her long drives from slicing - veering sharply to the right. She is hitting the ball perfectly and it simply isn't going where it is supposed to.

Historia
It should have been just a mid-life fling. A guilty indiscretion that Neve Connolly could have weathered. An escape from 20 years of routine marriage to her overworked husband, and from her increasingly distant children. But when Neve pays a morning-after visit to her lover, Saul, and finds him brutally murdered, their pied-à-terre still heady with her perfume, all the lies she has so painstakingly stitched together threaten to unravel.

Not Very Good
Revisado: 05-23-20
There wasn't much to like. The narrator was annoying, the story was ridiculous, and I came to hate the characters. I've enjoyed other books by the authors so this was especially disappointing.
