Historia
Olivia McAfee knows what it feels like to start over. Her picture-perfect life—living in Boston, married to a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon, raising their beautiful son, Asher—was upended when her husband revealed a darker side. She never imagined that she would end up back in her sleepy New Hampshire hometown, living in the house she grew up in and taking over her father’s beekeeping business. Lily Campanello is familiar with do-overs, too. When she and her mom relocate to Adams, New Hampshire, for her final year of high school, they both hope it will be a fresh start.

This book makes me proud to be an advocate. I loved working with Judy and will treasure that time. She is the reason I changed my degree and my career path. There is so much history in this book, so much perspective. I recommend this book to everyone.

It was good but had potential to be great! (In my opinion)
Revisado: 09-06-24
I loved this book but the story was a bit slow. There was not much for excitement except for the more intimate parts. The story itself was a really good breath of fresh air though. It was nice to have a story line with two women instead of a typical hetero love story. I loved it. I do not read much romance as it’s usually very boring to me. This story was good and subtle, but I do think this same story could have been just a bit longer with more exciting story to it.

One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. With courage, grace, and powerful insight, bestselling author Kristin Hannah captures the epic panorama of World War II and illuminates an intimate part of history seldom seen: the women's war.
