Historia
Amber wakes up in a hospital. She can't move. She can't speak. She can't open her eyes. She can hear everyone around her, but they have no idea. Amber doesn't remember what happened, but she has a suspicion her husband had something to do with it. Alternating between her paralyzed present, the week before her accident, and a series of childhood diaries from 20 years ago, this brilliant psychological thriller asks: Is something really a lie if you believe it's the truth?

I was slightly disappointed
Revisado: 02-18-25
I have read a ton of Alice Feeny’s books but this one did not grab me. Her other books I found a moment where I yelled out WTF?! This one I kinda got lost in and struggled to finish it. I will continue to read her books, I was just slightly disappointed in this one.

Today, Kate has a good man in her life, a secure job, and hope. But her dreams for the future become a nightmare when a copycat killer starts hunting. One by one, with each new body, comes a gift for Kate: a single red rose. And then the warning: See you soon.

Good not great
Revisado: 05-16-24
Honestly what was hard for me about this book was how dumb the main character was in her thought process. She never followed her gut and was shocked when she kept putting herself and other people in danger. I kept rolling my eyes and saying “duh”. Kind of a hard read for that reason.

Revisado: 02-17-24
To be honest, I was let down after the book finished. I thought to myself…. That was it. Felt very non climactic. It did not keep me hooked and was let down in the end.
