As a business owner and chairman of the board I found this book to be outstanding. From a physiological approach the mindset of a soldier in the discipline to execute is parallel in management and the workforce. Community Creativity and joy.

Historia
Narrated by Emmy Award–winning actor Martin Sheen, The Home Front: Life in America During World War II takes listeners into the lives of Americans at home—part of the Greatest Generation—who supported the war effort and sustained the country during wartime. The war brought immediate, life-changing shifts: the rationing of meat, dairy products, and sugar; an explosion of war-related jobs; and, despite mixed signals, a greater role for women working outside the home.

If it were only a matter of time
Revisado: 10-17-19
I wish I knew more of the post Nazi era from Germanys perspective. How was so much hatred wiped out, never its likeness seen again in Europe within less then a century, a few decades, one generation. Why is hatred so common in America? Are we that ignorant or uneducated on the matters that were and how they are probably happening today? It's a shame that after 2 world wars, several more wars since the surrender of the German government and 9/11 that in America hate is alive and a breeding ground for it. Are we born this way or is it a conditioning system? To what end will the fighting continue? To whose benefit will there be?

Historia
Nineteen-year-old Greg Sestero met Tommy Wiseau at an acting school in San Francisco. Wiseau's scenes were rivetingly wrong, yet Sestero, hypnotized by such uninhibited acting, thought, "I have to do a scene with this guy." That impulse changed both of their lives. The Disaster Artist is Greg Sestero's laugh-out-loud funny account of how Tommy Wiseau defied every law of artistry, business, and friendship to make "the Citizen Kane of bad movies" ( Entertainment Weekly), which is now an international phenomenon.

if we all only had the money
Revisado: 06-23-19
In 2015 when I saw the Room on YouTube I was on the fence about continuing my career as an Actor. At that point it then a rough 7 years with no financial gain and a lot of heartache. And after watching the Room I said to myself and my roommates that even movies like this can get made but not a single person wants to work with me in New York City. It wasn't until last year with James Franco that I realized that this story has more to it then really meets the eye. And thanks to Greg were able to dissect the whole movie chapter by chapter on the development of the Room. And my newfound respect for the filmmaker Tommy is of the highest caliber. How many of us can say that we have something to show for our careers? Because here's a guy who had the courage and the tenacity to write a story, And he didn't stop there he invested in himself. How many of us could actually say that we were willing to invest in ourselves. And not just our time towards our education or career development but to actually have something to call our own? It doesn't matter that Tommy doesn't fully understand story structure or character development or any of that stuff but I think what we can all agree upon is that this guy is probly the bravest person in Hollywood. He had the vision and he had a dream and he was resourceful. And what successfulness actually is , Is what we have to give to inspire others not financial gain. And because of Tommy's ability to inspire make him the most successful man in Hollywood.

A pearl made from NY muscle
Revisado: 06-06-19
One of my earliest memories growing up could be traced back as far as me being 3 years old. Musicals had a very large impact on my use because it was one of my grandmother's favorite genre's. During those early years my parents would take me to the movies and I remember seeing Peter Pan on Broadway when I was just a toddler. But what I can remember most is the funny voices that miss Hannigan would make during her inner changes with of obnoxious brats in Annie. On and on over the years my aunt to this day would still say to me we love you miss hannigan. Always reminding me how much I enjoyed watching that movie and singing to it constantly. Carol Burnett was my 1st inspiration to be a singer. Like how she mentions in her book on being brave and displaying it when needed I've made the connection that this woman's impression on my childhood had let me to display bravery in my own way whenever needed. Hearing her stories and the way she and her colleagues in the performing arts would strive and survive in the city that never sleeps was a reminder to me of all the years I have dedicated both to my craft and my life as well. When it comes down to that deciding time in Carol's life when luck, talent and timing aligned in a perfect eclipse was the time when she took that step of bravery and that leap of faith in herself to put on her own show. For anyone who wishes to become "successful" in TV movies theater art or whatever have you not it comes down to this : Be. be brave. be ready. because if you don't then you'll be fine. But why be fine when you are a light that can shine?

this man really does have magic in him
Revisado: 06-01-19
Far too often we become judgemental on the lives in luxuries of celebrity life. Mainly because the most exciting things that life has to offer seems to come so easily to those who seem less deserving. We standardize life based on our own experiences and you never really know a person until you actually see things from their perspective or take a walk in their own shoes. After being on this journey with Corey and hearing directly from the horse's "mouth" Life altering events that happened to him inside of School the film set and the discomfort of zone home I can honestly say that Corey Feldman might be the most loving and compassionate human beings and most honest Guy that I have ever indirectly met. I can relate to this man on several things that he experience growing up from other students in his school and the con for the not so much love and affection from women. I think that if anybody wants to know the truth about anyone you have to hear it directly from the horse's mouth and in this case that horse is a pegasus called Corey Feldman.

Historia
Drawing on dozens of intimate audio interviews with families from all across the country, award-winning psychologist and writer Andrew Solomon redefines what it means to be an “ideal family” in America today. Solomon observes that America, led in large part by the women’s, civil rights, and gay rights movements, has undergone a radical social shift in the last few decades. Although the structure of family has changed, economic and legal structures lag behind and need to adapt to accommodate this explosive new reality.

criminal justice is not just, just.
Revisado: 05-24-19
I found that there is limitations to life liberty and pursuit of happiness within our borders through the eyes of American people. I think this book was a positive check point towards The definition of freedom. The great thing about this country is that we have the power to make the changes necessary to preserve our humanitarian rights. I think the criminalization of partnerships is considered cruel and a violation of the 8th amendment. It is my hope that more people will take a couple hours to themselves and hear the testimonies of these brave families who came forth to have their say and with those who have the ears to hear may they then spread the word.
