Liked the story, hated the voices of the narrators voices

I always love the banter between Megan Quinn’s characters. But when the voices don’t match the age and description of the characters, it takes away from the story. Also, have male characters doing female voices and vice versa also takes away from the story IMO

I love the story, the narration not as much

I will never understand why when you have male and female narrators, why you have a male trying to do a female voice, and a female male trying to do a male character’s voice. It takes away from the story, especially during sensitive scenes. I did loved the story.

Good story but….

I really like the story, but having the dual narration and have the male narrator try to make female voices and not have the female narrator read the line instead, and vice versa with the female narrator trying to do male characters is becoming irritating. It can become cringeworthy, especially the intimate scenes. Maybe I have just become spoiled by dual narrators that work together, but it takes away from the story. I read the first 3 books and couldn’t get my hands on the 4 and 5 that’s why I got the audiobook. But I do like the story enough to suffer through it. I have heard worse.

I love all the characters

Sometimes reading you love certain characters and it’s hard to read other books that don’t revolve around those same characters as being the mains in the story, but I loved butcher and blackbird, and I think I loved this one even more! Great banter, slow burn worth it, loved the relations of the family, can’t wait for the next installment!

The narration was off, every edit was heard and change in recording which took away from the story. Also, the way she said “my people” was cringe worthy

3 books is way too long to tell this story

I feel like this story drags on for too many books. I liked the female narrators voice for the character, but the males voice isn’t strong enough for such a strong character and his female voice was very cringy

Good story, didn’t care for the narration on the spicier parts

The story was good. Narration was ok. I personally didn’t care for the supposedly sexy voice change it was more cringy than anything.

Perfect shorter story. I enjoyed the story line, the turns, and even the ending. Definitely going to check more titles by this author!
