Please listen to this podcast with an open mind and heart before making judgements about it or getting defensive. This work is a great starting place for people who need help finding resources written by people of color and people of the LGBTQ+ community as well as an excellent source to improve your empathy and understanding of historic and present day issues that can be challenging to talk about.

A Book to Meditate On

I'm not a spiritual person, but I really loved listening to this book. I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be more than a series of stories about the man on the mountain. Every character in the book can teach you something, and I could see some readers (listeners) really changing the way they see the world after spending time with this book. I'll definitely be listening to this title a second time.

I've been a listener and reader of his for years, but after one listen, this book is hands down my favorite yet! Not only is it filled with his trademark dark humor, but Sedaris goes into deep meaningful topics of his family that have long been hinted at but seldom said outright. I will be listening to it again very soon.
