Historia
Best-selling author Simon Morden draws upon his expertise as a bona fide rocket scientist to deliver mindbending science fiction. In Theories of Flight, Petrovich is the guardian of several secrets. For starters, he knows how to make anti-gravity. And if that’s not impressive enough, he also knows which secret server farm hides a sentient computer program - the same one that nearly wiped out the Metrozone. Now someone wants to kill Petrovich - and doesn’t seem to care what is destroyed in the process.

The Second of Three Points I'll Never Get Back
Revisado: 06-18-23
Speaking only for the first two books I've listened to in the trilogy. it's not even a good sci-fi series. it's boring, slow, and the characters, if they're lucky, are one dimensional. The narration was excellent!

Worst Listen Ever
Revisado: 06-18-23
The narration was actually good but unable to breathe life into a lousy book. The characters were all one dimensional. That's on the author not the narrator. It's an Audible point...actually 3, I'll never get back.

Historia
Over the past three decades, citizens of democracies who claim to value freedom, tolerance, and the rule of law have increasingly embraced illiberal politicians and platforms. Democracy is in trouble - but who is really to blame? In Our Own Worst Enemy, Tom Nichols challenges the current depictions of the rise of illiberal and antidemocratic movements in the United States and elsewhere as the result of the deprivations of globalization or the malign decisions of elites. Rather, he places the blame for the rise of illiberalism on the people themselves.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Revisado: 08-10-21
What I wouldn't give to buy Andy enough beers to get a peek into how he thinks!
Have movie rights been granted /sold?
What makes the Audible version arguably better than the book is the dialog, inflections, emotions, etc.
it's a keeper, as they say!

Historia
The true story of what took place in Donald Trump’s White House during a disastrous 2020 has never before been told in full. What was really going on around the president, as the government failed to contain the coronavirus and over half a million Americans perished? Who was influencing Trump after he refused to concede an election he had clearly lost and spread lies about election fraud? To answer these questions, Phil Rucker and Carol Leonnig reveal a dysfunctional and bumbling presidency’s inner workings in unprecedented, stunning detail.

No surprises, editing rather sucked.
Revisado: 08-02-21
January LaVoy did an outstanding job of narration. Carol Leonnig and Phillip Rucker did their usual terrific job of fact gathering, multi sourcing and reporting. what really hurt the production were the numerous editing errors. The other factor was, frankly, subject exhaustion. Is Trump the cause of result of our national predicament? While that question was not addressed by this book it would be an excellent subject for another Leonnig/Rucker collaboration, political scientist, or Sociologist.

knocking us down a few pegs
Revisado: 07-14-21
Every young citizen of <fill in the country> is raised that their country is the greatest in the world. the US is no different. The internet, aka cyber realm, is the great equalizer. Destroyers, Cruisers, Aircraft Carriers are almost irrelevant. A country's reliance on the internet can be used against it. I gave this story 4 stars, not because it didn't deserve 5, rather it cut away decades of indoctrination aka patriotic "my country uber alles" baloney. We need to be very clear eyed about where we are and where others are both strengths and weaknesses.

Completely awesome
Revisado: 06-12-21
I believe a primary, and unique, benefit of audio books is having the author actually present the material. it was clear in Mr Figliuzzi's presentation what was humorous, serious, sad, and important. And then there is pride, pride of Frank's incredible belief in the FBI's mission, teamwork, and quality of employees but also the listener's/ reader's pride that the FBI is not only there but also running on all cylinders. That the last 20 years has been tumultuous is a huge understatement. It is reassuring that such a professional and dedicated organization is standing in the breach between us and the evil, be they domestic or foreign actors.

Historia
In Why We’re Polarized, Klein reveals the structural and psychological forces behind America’s descent into division and dysfunction. Neither a polemic nor a lament, this book offers a clear framework for understanding everything from Trump’s rise to the Democratic Party’s leftward shift to the politicization of everyday culture. America is polarized, first and foremost, by identity. Everyone engaged in American politics is engaged, at some level, in identity politics.

Topical and Fantastic Read / Listen
Revisado: 02-14-21
The primary reflection I have now, having just finished this audio book is it was as if this was a one on one conversation I had with Ezra. While a subtle thing, but still a thing, it wasn't like the speaker was talking at me, rather, the author speaking to me. The flow of the book was logical, flowed with observation N having relevance to N-1. The flow and thesis made complete sense. It was neither partisan nor a hit job. Well done Mr Klein!
