Historia
Since their mama died and their pa left, Ethan, Alice, Simon, and Will Cooper have not known much of a home. But now that the orphan train has taken them to Mr. and Mrs. Rush in Nebraska, their dreams of home may become a reality. The kids discover that life on a farm is full of challenges. Ethan learns how to drive a plow, watch for snakes, and deal with bullies at the country school. Alice learns to slop the hogs and live with a big sister who isn't exactly welcoming. Will seems to be the only one of the four that their new mother likes.

This book encourages and perpetuates bitterness and hatred..

Wanting to listen to a good story. Instead, I ended up depressed and feeling hopeless. I think our responsibility is to spread hope and love, not hatred and atheism.

What people actually believe on a day-to-day basis.
Revisado: 02-03-24
I like the story, and it was interesting but as a Christian, I find it difficult to understand how people can exist with no God. I’ve had someone say to me, even if there was no God, and no Jesus it improves life and motivate you towards something so wonderful it’s all worthwhile.

Was fairly interesting but a bit on the over emotional dramatic side for me. It did keep my attention well, though once I got through all the new names. Being a Midwife myself, I did enjoy that part of it.

Historia
"My father had more than 50 children." So begins the haunting memoir of Anna LeBaron, daughter of the notorious polygamist and murderer Ervil LeBaron. With her father wanted by the FBI for killing anyone who tried to leave his cult - a radical branch of Mormonism - Anna and her siblings were constantly on the run with the other sister-wives. Often starving and always desperate, the children lived in terror. Even though there were dozens of them together, Anna always felt alone.

Successful escape
Revisado: 11-19-23
Being a Christian myself, I enjoyed the story. I was a bit concerned when Anna talked about joining Bill Gothard, who is just another cult leader. It sounds like she escaped from that. Definitely was worth listening to and kept my attention and she read it well.

Historia
For six years Jim and Jamie Dutcher lived intimately with a pack of wolves, gaining their trust as no one has before. In this book the Dutchers reflect on the virtues they observed in wolf society and behavior. Each chapter exemplifies a principle, such as kindness, teamwork, playfulness, respect, curiosity, and compassion. Their heartfelt stories combine into a thought-provoking meditation on the values shared between the human and the animal world.

Less profanity
Revisado: 09-19-23
The story was great and kept you glued to the listening device. Narrator was wonderful, easy to listen to. It would’ve been completely five star in material. I feel the same as other critics, there are other ways to express yourself without using profanity.
