Historia
For GBI investigator Will Trent and medical examiner Sara Linton, McAlpine Lodge seems like the ideal getaway to celebrate their honeymoon. Set on a gorgeous, off-the-grid mountaintop property, it’s the perfect place to unplug and reconnect. Until a bone-chilling scream cuts through the night. Mercy McAlpine, the manager of the Lodge, is dead. With a vicious storm raging and the one access road to the property washed out, the murderer must be someone on the mountain. But as Will and Sara investigate the McAlpine family and the other guests, they realize that everyone here is lying.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

This was an enjoyable time and I really got into this book. Grace really had to "science the sh@t" to save his life and figure out how to finish his mission. I think I had more fun with this that "The Martian".

Not a new release. This was from 2003
Revisado: 02-03-21
It's very annoying when a previously released book is listed as a "New"release. I bought 2 today. If I have purchased it previously it should not allow me to purchase it a second time at least without a warning. Thank goodness I was able to return it and retrieve the credits.

Historia
Kay Willingham led a life as glamorous as it was public - she was a gorgeous Georgetown socialite, philanthropist, and the ex-wife of the vice president. So why was she parked in a Bentley convertible idling behind a DC private school, in the middle of the night, with the man who was the head of that school? Who shot them both, point blank, and why? The shocking double homicide is blazed across the internet, TV, newspapers - and across Alex Cross's mind. Kay had been his patient once. And maybe more.

Great story but so so narration
Revisado: 11-27-20
I've listened to Alex Cross since day one and this is another great story, I'm still listening but am very disappointed in the reader. I've gotten used to the voices and accents over the years and now here comes a new reader changing the voices and accents. It kind of takes away some of the enjoyment of the book. I still like Cross but not as much fun.

I really glad I got it.
Revisado: 12-10-18
I almost didn't get this because of the short duration but just finished listening and even shed a tear of joy at the end. This is a recorded stage play and a very well done audiobook. The story is genuine and not to ruin it for anyone, this is one of the books I've listened to that touched my heart. Who'd have thought it? The humor is Billy Crystal all the way and the story is better than the Wizard of Oz. Billy nailed it and Kevin Kline and all of the cast showed what true professionals they are in their craft. I'd have paid big bucks to see this performed but feel like I've found a winner in just listening to it. Thank you Billy and thank you Audible for making it available to us.
Sincerely,
Mike

Historia
Daniel Graham MacCormick - Mac for short - seems to have a pretty good life. At age 35 he's living in Key West, owner of a 42-foot charter fishing boat, The Maine. Mac served five years in the army as an infantry officer, with two tours in Afghanistan. He returned with the Silver Star, two Purple Hearts, scars that don't tan, and a boat with a big bank loan. Truth be told, Mac's finances are more than a little shaky. One day Mac is sitting in the famous Green Parrot Bar in Key West, contemplating his life....

Good but LOONG
Revisado: 10-08-17
I would have enjoyed this much more with an abridged version. Scott Brick is flawless and enjoyable to listen to as usual but the book seemed to drag on. I enjoyed it but when it gets to be a chore to finish I wished someone else had mentioned it and would have enjoyed it much more. The story was great DeMille and did stretch the bounds of believability when so many last minute miracles happened. The beginning was very fun to enjoy and I'd recommend the abridged version. I don't think any important details will be missed.

Renée Ballard works the night shift in Hollywood, beginning many investigations but finishing none, as each morning she turns her cases over to day shift detectives. A once up-and-coming detective, she's been given this beat as punishment after filing a sexual harassment complaint against a supervisor. Ballard is determined not to give up at dawn.

What does Katherine Moennig bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The main character is a woman and it needed to be read and emotioned by a woman.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, it took several days but they were good days.

Historia
Eccentric, reclusive Walter Rennert lies cold at the bottom of his stairs. At first glance the scene looks straightforward: a once-respected psychology professor done in by booze and a bad heart. But his daughter, Tatiana, insists that her father has been murdered, and she persuades Clay Edison to take a closer look at the grim facts of Rennert's life. What emerges is a history of scandal and violence and an experiment gone horribly wrong that ended in the brutal murder of a coed.

Kellermans are a writing family.
Revisado: 08-06-17
What made the experience of listening to Crime Scene the most enjoyable?
The Kellerman experience from Tabitha, to Jonathon, to Jesse. They were all born to write and have become excellent at it.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Crime Scene?
The entire book is a wonderful diversion and fun to listen to.
Which character – as performed by Dennis Boutsikaris – was your favorite?
Not one eclipsed another. He did a good job all around.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No laughter and no crying but several smiles.
Any additional comments?
A solid good listen that is fun to follow.

Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

A captivating listen.
Revisado: 08-06-17
Would you listen to The Dispatcher again? Why?
I'm going to listen to it sooner than later because the premise is so bazaar and captivating.
Who was your favorite character and why?
But of course it was Valdez (The Dispatcher) because of how he made his living and his attitude towards it.
What about Zachary Quinto’s performance did you like?
Everything. He did a very very good job of keeping my attention.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Near the end when you find out the final disposition of exactly what happened and who did it.
Any additional comments?
This is a quick and fun listen and I can't wait for the author to write another one. And I hope that Quinto reads it. He is to this book what Dick Dale is to the Harry Potter series.
