This audio novella is a stand-alone prequel to the Cormac Reilly series. Slow and slower
Revisado: 11-01-20
The story line was so slow and the voice didn’t seem to fit the story...I forced myself to finish it, hoping it would settle Into an exciting series of events. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until the last 20 minutes that the most interesting moments played out. Then, it was over.

Historia
When her father descends into madness, Verity Pruitt and her little sister Lilah find themselves uprooted from New York, on an orphan train to rural Arkansas. In Wheeler, Lilah is quickly adopted by the town’s beloved schoolteacher - but Verity is not. Willing to do anything to stay close, she pawns herself off as a farmhand, but even charming farm boy Abel Atchley can’t completely distract her from the sense that something is not quite right in this little town.

A Life That Can’t Be Left Behind
Revisado: 10-29-20
What a well versed script only bettered by its unexpected plot twists of tales so tall, you’ll have to “read” it to believe it! The author weaves in and out of realism so smoothly I found myself yearning for another 40+ chapters at its end. Lauren Fortgang exuded the perfect amount of southern “drawl” sweetness in all the right places. Well done; hoping for a sequel and thankful for the epilogue, which righted any and all wrongdoing threaded throughout the last chapters, in the end. What a well written layout that took me to another world on my travels to work and back each day. Literally....in the fog, and all. :)
