Equal part educational/heart breaking/entertaining

Other than what I learned in the movie GI Jane (stop laughing, I was very young when I watched it!), I knew very very little about Navy SEALs and their training, other than they were totally badass. So I found Brandon's upbringing and how it helped him excel at both his Navy career and his Navy SEAL training and career fascinating. I appreciated the balance of technical explanations, funny stories, and brutal honesty.

The editing of the audio left something to be desired. There were a handful of sentences that were recorded twice. I did a double take to see if my phone was malfunctioning...it wasn't. But I did enjoy Brandon's personal introductions to each chapter and the bonus stories at the end. Definitely a perk of buying the audio version.

All in all, I enjoyed the story (as much as one can enjoy a story that includes real-life accounts of our nation's heroes giving their lives to protect us and our freedom. Because I'll admit to having to pause the book to collect myself. There aren't words strong enough to express the tragedies described in The Red Circle.)

Great second book in a series

There aren't many series out there where the second book is just as good as the first! But this one is. I love Summer's story and can't wait for more!

I loved this novella. Joseph is my favorite character so I was beyond excited to read his story! Awesome narrating by Michael Goldstrom.

Honest, funny memoir

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this book but I was pleasantly surprised.
Eve's tales are humorous, horrifying, humorous, sad, humorous, honest, humorous, and touching.
Over the span of years, Eve and John experienced some really sad and horrifying things but Eve's wit and humor helped balance them out. I laughed, cringed, and cried on numerous occasions.
I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to nearly anyone!
And if I'm being perfectly honest, it gave me the desire to really see and experience the world... only I'm not going to eat guinea pig head so I'll probably stay right here in the good 'ol U.S. of A.

I loved the narration. There were so many unsual accents in this book and Eileen Stevens nailed them all (at least to my uncultured ears!). I especially loved her African accents.

My kids listen over and over.

The Amelia Bedelia books are so sweet. My kids listen to them over and over in the car. They laugh at the same parts every time. Christine did a great job narrating these stories!

Loved every single part of this book! I was sucked in from the very beginning and could not stop listening. The story flowed flawlessly with perfectly developed characters! I fell in love with Tom and loved how his fame didn't affect his true character and his loyalty. I WANT A SEQUEL! Renee is a fantastic story teller and her words are so beatiful!

Love these characters!

As with all the books in this series, I loved the characters and loved following characters from previous books in this series. I was sucked into the story but felt disappoint at a certain issue that was underdeveloped and never specifically "answered". All in all, a fun read and totally worth the purchase!

I really enjoyed the characters in the story (and the entire series). Some parts weren't entirely believable and others weren't developed as much as I'd hoped, but that didn't stop be from being totally sucked into the story!

Summer is amazing.

I loved every part of this book. Summer's muteness was heartbreaking but it was endearing to see the ways she found to communicate. I thought her and Landon's friendship was touching. I found myself looking forward to scenes when they were together. And Gage.. YUMMY! LOVE HIM! Can't wait for the sequel!
