This audiobook is a must if you are into Russian history - it describes the story of the Romanovs, from the first one to the fall of the dynasty. It is some heavy work in some parts - you have to think that you cannot understand Russia without, at the same time, knowing something of what was going on in Europe and the Middle East. But in general, the prose is runny, full of details yet not overwhelmingly technological or for the scholar.
