I like this story in that it portrays both sides
Revisado: 04-23-21
Good story. It's not a simple good humans vs bad aliens. It's more of a people in the fray realizing they are being used as pawns and refusing to play that role. Looking forward to the next book in the series

Historia
The galaxy was once terrorized by the Sturm, a group of “species purists” intent on destroying any human with genetic or cybernetic enhancements. Fashioning themselves as the one true “Human Republic,” the Sturm cut a bloody swath across the stars, killing billions before finally being defeated and driven into the far reaches of Dark Space. Centuries of peace bred complacency. Everyone believed the Sturm had died out in the Dark. They were wrong.

Not Sci-fi
Revisado: 09-12-19
I could not get into it The story is more magic fantasy than Sci-fi. The story has no historical connection to anything in the real world

Another great read but with a lot more action
Revisado: 02-04-17
What did you love best about Erebus?
The original Book Endeavor explored one possible solution to the Fermi Paradox (where are all the aliens?). This book explores one possible lethal consequence of this solution. The book itself is action packed, logical and very entertaining. Highly recommended
What did you like best about this story?
It is rather plausible. The story is basically an unfolding mystery that smacks you in the face at the end. There is more overt action (combat etc) in this book.
What does Shaun Grindell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Excellent the voices were distinguishable and varied enough so you did not confuse the characters
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes I did
Any additional comments?
Just buy it

Reminds me of Arthur C. Clark
Revisado: 05-19-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Endeavour to be better than the print version?
This story is an adult space opera. It addresses the question, "Where is everybody?", a question first posed by Enrico Femi.
What did you like best about this story?
The story blends the space opera and time travel (forward travel only) seamlessly. Traveling to another star means Traveling into the future.

Excelent sequel to the first novel,
Revisado: 08-21-12
Would you listen to Caliban's War again? Why?
Yes I would and have. The way this series of books is written you have parallel threads from differing viewpoints telling the story. This means that If you have a favorite character you can skip ahead following that character and for the most part retain the sense of the storyline.
Then you can go over it again with another character etc.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Bobbie the Martian Marine was my favorite.
What does Jefferson Mays bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He does a good job of simply reading the story so that you forget who is reading the book and the characters take center stage
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The very end when an old character makes an unexpected appearance
Any additional comments?
I can't wait for the next book.
