The finest of Millets Series

I thought that this book was exceptional. Larry has done such a Great job developing Rafferty as a character throughout the last five books, and brings it home with this perpetually interesting locked room mystery. The reader is immediately drawn into the story by the well presented narrative. Sherlock homes makes a brief appearance, and readers of the series will understand the circumstances surrounding his noted absence.

An incredible story performed by an exceptional storyteller.

Of all the pastiche Sherlock Holmes stories I have listened to, this is by far the best one I have found. I tried to listen to it to sleep, but was much too intrigued. Being a detective tale, it indeed begins slowly in the Doyle style, but transforms into a well rounded story. The ending was a demonstration of a masterly crafted exposition and rising action, and a well presented climax.

Took some time, but we got there

This emotionalized masterclass on fantasy spacetravel was the highlight of my MONTH. Took a while to sit down and finish with the plot moving along so slowly. Not to knock the writer, but something to note.
