Historia
Doctor Dominic Corrigan. He's tattooed, cocky, and gorgeous, with bullet scars from working in war zones. I'm a geeky surgeon who hides away in the quiet of her operating theater. We couldn't be more different but from the second we meet, he pursues me...and when I look into those blue eyes, I'm lost. But I know his reputation and I'm determined not to be his next one-night stand. Then disaster strikes our small town...and the two of us become our patients' only hope.

So bad
Revisado: 02-14-23
They’ve seen each other for a couple hours, talked for 30 mins, and they’re passionately in love? PLEASE. So so bad. No chemistry and not believably in love. Felt so contrived. DNF.

Once Upon a Prince, the first novel in the Royal Wedding series by bestselling author Rachel Hauck, treats you to a modern-day fairy tale. Susanna Truitt never dreamed of a great romance or being treated like a princess - just to marry the man she has loved for twelve years. But life isn't going according to plan. When her high-school sweetheart breaks up with her instead of proposing, Susanna scrambles to rebuild her life.

A ton of religion shoved into each chapter...
Revisado: 05-16-17
I really wanted to like this.
To be honest, the religious overtones were a bit too much for me. I'm sure there's an audience for sappy quoting-of-the-Bible love stories full of "God has a purpose for you" moments, however that is so not my cup of tea. I don't need to hear about you being "kissed by the Holy Spirit" and lengthy discussions about Jesus and God's plans. Like I didn't sign up for continuous "let's pray together" and "touched by the Holy Spirit" every other second.
I just wanted a nice love story with well-rounded characters. Ugh.

Don't waste your time!
Revisado: 06-27-14
What was most disappointing about Erin Duffy’s story?
It was so incredibly slow that I couldn't even finish it. The narrator's pace reading as well as the story line. I wasn't invested at all. Disappointed.

Historia
Helen is nearly 40, and has, for far too long, had an affair with Matthew, a high-powered, much older, attractive, married man who was once, of course, her boss. After years of being disappointed by missed dates, out-of-the-way restaurants, broken promises, and hushed phone calls, at last Helen realizes it's time to dump Matthew and get on with her life. This, of course, is the exact moment when Matthew decides to leave his wife for her.
