Doyle was back at Scotland Yard after taking maternity leave, and the powers-that-be had decided they’d ease her way by assigning her to assist DS Isabella Munoz, which was a fate only slightly worse than death. Annoying, it was, that she had to answer to Munoz; not to mention that Munoz wasn’t given many high-quality homicide assignments in the first place.

Totally inappropriate narrator

This narrator is so wrong for this series. After the great first two narrators, this current one comes off flat without appropriate accents and differentiation between characters. British accents are nonexistent and the attempt at the Irish accent is poor. The narration is really annoying and detracts from the story. It is also very distracting. I enjoy these stories, but will have to reevaluate my possible next purchase. Please return to the previous narrator/s. The narrator shouldn't get even one star for this job. The narrator does have a nice voice and would be good for stories with American characters. Just not this one.

Disappointing addition to this series.

I prefer Mr. Worley to this new guy. Mr. Henzel makes everyone sound too old. I also do not like the way this book changes Bud's character. Bud would have never left the lunch lady in a situation where she might be killed. He would have gotten her out of there. Between the new narrator and the strange change in Bud, it almost seems this series is being written by someone new. The story line showed promise, but did not deliver. Very disappointed. I am done with this series.
