Historia
When the fight comes to us and we have to leave the packlands, were we really going somewhere safe, or could it be possible that we still had no idea who we were really fighting? Power seemed to attract violence in our world and it was time to decide if we were going to fight back or find another way to survive.

The characters were very definitive

I love the stories, they built up and kept answering inquiries throughout the stories. Each book tells a different story but builds up to the big finish. Very excellent read!!!!

It started out like any normal day. Then the fender bender happened. The guy I collided with drove an expensive car and was drop-dead gorgeous. Too bad he was also a total jerk. We argued over whose fault it was and any other thing that came out of his condescending mouth. Eventually, the police came and we went our separate ways. The insurance companies would have to figure things out. I had a job interview to get to anyway - one I was excited about. Though that excitement changed to disappointment the moment the person interviewing me walked in. The guy from the accident.

Endearing
Revisado: 07-27-24
The characters were true to form, and the storyline was clear. It was real and heart-touching the way the story flowed, and you hoped that they would understand each other. Good read with a few tears, it was written so well.

Outstanding Read!
Revisado: 04-09-24
As a female Veteran of another era I loved the history and the in depth story of one nurse and her comrads in the Vietnam War. I cried, I laughed, I lived with these women. This is an outstanding book. The narrator is fabulous, also! ENJOY

Historia
The Christmas party at the Sea Glass Inn is a long-held tradition, one the townspeople of Blackbird Beach consider the kick-off of the Christmas season. Until, of course, the inn closed, and the party stopped happening. Now Georgia Carpenter has decided it’s time to restart that tradition, even though the party is a massive undertaking and one that will influence how people feel about the inn for the rest of the year. With the help of her sister, Lilly, Georgia hopes to put on an event that will be merry and bright and spark new interest in the business.

I have read the whole series in a matter of 3 days, and can tell you it doesn't disappoint! The characters are strong and stay on point, the problems feel insurmountable, but the solutions are realistic. I have enjoyed this reading experience immensely!!! 5 STARS!!!!

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Excellent and Beautiful Story!!
Revisado: 07-19-22
I laughed, I cried. Beautiful story of a little girl growing up in the marsh in North Carolina, alone and afraid. Then coming of age and having her world open and mean so much, only to be accused of a heiness crime. She grew up mostly alone, with so much hate and prejudice against her, yet she is a beautiful soul. The ending was a wow moment for me. I did not expect it! The performance was exceptional! The narrator drew me into the story right from the start. I would highly recommend this read!!! I can't wait to see if the movie is it's equal.

Historia
Elizabeth Black is the headmistress of a girls' school in 1830s Victorian London. She is also a well-respected author of stories written both for and about the upper-class ladies of Victorian society. But by night, she writes very different kinds of stories - the Penny Dreadfuls that are all the rage among the working-class men. Under the pseudonym Charles King, Elizabeth has written about dashing heroes fighting supernatural threats, intelligent detectives solving grisly murders, and dangerous outlaws romancing helpless women.

This was a wonderful story of love, heartache, miracles and endurance....most of all... becoming family and togetherness. It was not saturated with explicit love scenes, but with heartfelt emotion. I could hardly stop listening between doing necessary things. An awesome read!

Historia
Eliza Wentworth is no lady. After the notorious pirate Jandeau murdered her family, she vowed to spend the rest of her life at sea, saving others. She'd rather be firing cannons than embroidering pillows - or worse, bowing to the demands of a husband. But when she's stranded on an island off the coast of Scotland, now she is the one in need of help. And that help comes not only from a man, but a man she struggles to resist.

Loved the Adventure!
Revisado: 03-24-22
I absolutely love the narrator! He brings you right ty into the story. Even in the frankness of some of the speech, he is able to capture the characters moods and desires without compromising the scene he's reading. A good story. 👍

Historia
Lady Eve Sotherby dreams of escaping her horrid life in England, yet she has nowhere to run. So when she spies a posting for a companion in the Highlands, she seizes the chance to disappear. She’s heard tales about the barbaric Highlanders, of course, but no one can be worse than the beast she once foolishly agreed to wed. And never mind that she doesn’t meet any of the requirements for the position: must have no family, must love the cold, and must know the healing arts.
