Historia
This book is a manual for becoming the kind of man God intends for you to be, and leading other men to do the same. Taking ten qualities from the Apostle Paul's short letter to his mentee Titus, The Titus Ten will help you grow in your understanding of the gospel, your identity, your character, your doctrine, and more. Each chapter includes questions for reflection and discussion, to both process the way the Lord is growing you, and read in a group with other men. As you grow in these areas of your life, you'll become the kind of man God desires to use in the world.

Best Men’s discipleship book in a long time.
Revisado: 06-09-24
After doing men’s ministry for over 15 years there is finally a book up to par with disciplines of a godly man by Kent Hughes. This book and study lay out ten areas where men need to be taught, trained, and commissioned. Will be using this at our church for a long time.

Good stories but tries too hard
Revisado: 09-30-23
I enjoyed the bios on some of the leaders and there were several insights I gleaned but it seemed the author was reaching for the points he was making.

Historia
In her late 30's, Rosaria encountered something that turned her world upside down - the idea that Christianity, a religion she had regarded as problematic, might be right about who God was. That idea seemed to fly in the face of the people and causes that she most loved. What follows is a story of what she describes as a train wreck at the hand of the supernatural. These are her secret thoughts about those events, written as only a reflective English professor could.

A Big Let Down
Revisado: 05-25-19
I was really excited to listen to this audiobook. I had heard great things and was very interested in her testimony. I was somewhat pleased through the first half of the book although her demeaning attitude towards the church and Christians grew wearisome. I never understand those who come to Christ feel the need to bash the Christians they encountered before salvation. I also think there was a hesitation in truly portraying her former life. I could still handle that but the last half of the book was almost unbearable. If it wasn't an audiobook I would've tossed it against the wall. Her dogmatics were puzzling at best. The part of only singing Psalms at church because they were songs from God was laughable. Does her husband just read scripture in his sermons because any words of his own would not be from God? Maybe I got the wrong idea but I was hoping for a book that would help the church understand and minister to the LGBT community and I came away wanting.

Pete Banning was Clanton's favorite son, a returning war hero, the patriarch of a prominent family, a farmer, a father, a neighbor, and a faithful member of the Methodist church. Then one cool October morning in 1946, he rose early, drove into town, walked into the church, and calmly shot and killed the Reverend Dexter Bell.

Great story with clunky structure
Revisado: 03-30-19
Grisham is a master story teller and this one doesn’t disappoint. My only beef is that it drags at points and the how the story is structured leaves a bit more desired.

Was hoping for more
Revisado: 07-30-18
I bought this on a recommendation from Twitter with the hopes I could glean some good tips or wisdom. What I got was a very short book with the author predominantly telling stories about his life and family. Maybe it translates better on paper but his whole premise of When this, then that didn't convey very well in audio. There was so much more he could've shared but a one-point book that is shorter than most podcasts was disappointing.
