Great all the way through
Revisado: 12-03-24
Narration was great, story was engaging, flew through all three books in just shy of two weeks. Highly recommend!

Historia
There are hangovers, there are bad hangovers, and then there's waking up inside someone else's head. Thirty-something bartender Charlie Wilkes is faced with this dilemma when he wakes to find himself trapped inside The Black Room, a space consisting of impenetrable darkness and a huge, ethereal screen floating in its center. It is through this screen that he sees the world of his female host, Minnie.

Interesting and original take on a parallel universe theme
Revisado: 01-01-24
Story was very good, as was the performance, but there were several editing mistakes where a line was repeated and/or the narrator/author clearly flubbed a take, started again, and they were both left in. Really weird.

Historia
The Lonely Motel holds many dark secrets and room six just might hold the worst of them all. Angel knows a lot about pain. His mother died in this room. He's researched its history. He's come back today to end it, no matter the cost, once and for all. Prostitute Shyla believes the stories Angel tells her can't be true. Secrets so vile, you won't want to let them inside you. But the Lonely Motel doesn't forget. It doesn't forgive. And it always claims its victim.

Gross? Yes, I suppose so. Predictable to the point of ridiculousness? Absolutely.
Revisado: 06-06-23
The problem isn’t that the author was obviously was going for the most extreme gross out semi-porn he could muster. To be honest, I wasn’t really shocked by any of it. I’ve read and seen far more graphic stories, but you can do that and still provide a compelling and/or surprising story. The problem is that the entire thing is completely predictable and you could see where it was going from the beginning. Don’t bother.
