Historia
James Crowley has ridden the road to Crescent City before, but never with companions like these. Never with a woman whose very presence jeopardizes everything he’s fought for over the past two decades. The swamps are a brutal, nasty place filled with creatures most people think only exist in nightmares and fever dreams. When Crowley, along with Rosa, Bram Stoker, Harker, and Irish stumble upon such a creature, and one of their party finds themselves mortally wounded, they must find help in the most unlikely of places.

Perfect

This series is one of the best I've ever "read". It's like Arthur Morgan channeling his inner Witcher.
There's nothing I would critique or change. The story is wonderfully addictive and the characters are all very intriguing.
The only complaints I have is I need more of this series right now and that this isn't a TV show.

Historia
Demons. Monsters. Witches. James Crowley’s sacred duty as a Black Badge is to hunt them down and send them packing, banish them from the mortal realm for good. He didn’t choose this life. No. He didn’t choose life at all. Shot dead in a gunfight many years ago, now he’s stuck in purgatory, serving the whims of the White Throne to avoid falling to Hell. Not quite undead, though not alive either, the best he can hope for is to work off his penance and fade away.

As good as a royal flush on poker night

Supernatural meets the Witcher meets Red Dead Redemption. Fantastic story, engaging and descriptive.
The narration is superb. Only thing I can really complain about is Roger Clark doesn't sound much like a beautiful woman named Rosa at all 😂
Unfortunately for my wallet I can't wait for the next one.

Historia
Chad Stone’s life hasn’t gone the way he’d hoped over the past year. He was laid off and forced to live with his parents in their basement. He dove headfirst into a popular MMORPG and built a crafting empire that made him one of the richest players in the game. However, FFO gamers worldwide began mysteriously vanishing while playing the game, and no one has a clue what happened to them or where they are. Chad soon finds out firsthand when he is sucked into another world while playing the game.

Sometimes a bit cheesy
Revisado: 02-06-23
First of all, so far I love anything involving Jessica Threet. She puts so much character into the characters and doesn't ever sound monotone or dull. The characters are all enjoyable, Koshiro can be a bit....much though.
Will likely get the rest of the series when they come out on audible if the great Threet narrates.

Historia
The Demon Lord is dead. The System is broken. Somehow, Elias Hearthsong is neither of these things, despite being at the final battle of the Demon Wars. He is a Master Enchanter, perhaps the last one alive. Determined to keep a promise, he crosses the continent to protect his dead friend's legacy: a crumbling orphanage run by a beautiful kitsune. He isn't a teacher, nor does he have experience with children. But with the love of a few good women, anything can become possible.

Perfect slice of life
Revisado: 02-01-23
Loved it.
Loved the characters, loved the magic and skills system. The writing was very good. Comfortable and relaxed. I can't say I didn't like anything about this book. Like not even one. Which is unusual for me.
As for the two narrators..........
Perfect. Absolutely perfect.
Virgil has such a nice voice and reads so realistic. He doesn't sound like an ai/robot voice. He sounds like an actual person speaking with inflections and tones in places that make sense.
Jessica sounds so sweet and I love her characters' voices. She also seems to know exactly where tone and inflection and pauses in text should go. So many people don't seem to have that talent.
I am currently impatiently awaiting book two and I will be looking for more books written and narrated by any combination of these four brilliant people.
Keep up the good work.
