Best book ever
Revisado: 07-18-22
From my 7 year old daughter
Best parts: how strong Darby became. How the people really learned to believe in themselves.
I really loved how the music was there. I loved the orchestra.
I really loved how the beginning started.
Two thumbs up and two big toes too.

Historia
Fenian's Trace is the tale of two lads raised as brothers in the west of Ireland during the early 1900s. Though they choose different paths when the rebellion comes, they both take a fancy to the spirited and alluring Maria upon her homecoming from America. It's a story told by Mr. Clancy, a gruff old Limerick publican who fancies himself as yet another in that grand tradition of Irish storytellers, though one who refuses to let his gentle inebriation or any distractful facts trouble his telling.

Heart wrenching novel you will adore
Revisado: 12-25-21
I absolutely loved this Irish novel. The vivid descriptions of the towns, the period in history and the characters made me feel as though I was experiencing the story firsthand. As the novel unfolds I was immersed and then dreaded the realization that it would end. Sean Mahoney brings this realistic, colorful and fascinating novel to a rare place producing powerful feelings and images to the reader. I absolutely loved this book and I look forward to the next.

Dated but sweet
Revisado: 05-15-21
My daughter really enjoyed these stories though it is a bit dated. Her joy and a bit of guidance brings comfort to bring Ramona back into my life. I read these books as a youngster and loved them.

Historia
Inspiring hope, solace, and courage in living through our losses, author Martín Prechtel, trained in the Tzutujil Maya shamanic tradition, shares profound insights on the relationship between grief and praise in our culture - how the inability that many of us have to grieve and weep properly for the dead is deeply linked with the inability to give praise for living. In modern society, grief is something that we usually experience in private, alone, and without the support of a community.

Listening to Martín read his own book almost makes missing out on in person classes almost bearable.

Historia
The Unlikely Peace at Cuchumaquic is both an epic story and a cry to the heart of humanity based on the author’s realization that human survival depends on keeping alive the seeds of our “original forgotten spiritual excellence.” Prechtel relates our current state of ecological crisis to the rapid disappearance of biodiversity, indigenous cultures, and shared human values. He demonstrates how real human culture is exterminated when real (not genetically modified) seeds are lost.

Drumbeat of earth herself
Revisado: 01-02-21
Through this writing Martín pries open the rusted jail cell door of the little flicker of a real full totally absorbed in the glory and beauty of life heart. Only he could read this work and bring it to a real living story that can take root in my heart body and hands.
