Historia
Matt Thorsen knows every Norse myth, saga, and god as if it was family history - because it is family history. Most people in the modern-day town of Blackwell, South Dakota, in fact, are direct descendants of either Thor or Loki, including Matt's classmates Fen and Laurie. When the rune readers reveal that the monsters of Ragnarok are coming and kids will stand in for the gods in the final battle, Matt can hardly believe it. Matt and his friends must race to put together an unstoppable team to prevent the end of the world.

A breath of fresh air
Revisado: 07-28-22
The story was fantastic, great for all ages, and descriptive. There was a lot of hooks and unique storylines for each character.
I actually prefer this to Rick’s Norse mythology fictional book. The reason I say that is because unlike the Magnus Chase series there is no politics whatsoever. This means you get all the fun action and none of the snooze fest that comes with the social justice warrior authoring.
Thank you for the breath of fresh air!

Historia
Thor's hammer is missing...again. The thunder god has a disturbing habit of misplacing his weapon - the mightiest force in the Nine Worlds. But this time the hammer isn't just lost, it has fallen into enemy hands. If Magnus Chase and his friends can't retrieve the hammer quickly, the mortal worlds will be defenseless against an onslaught of giants. Ragnarok will begin. The Nine Worlds will burn. Unfortunately, the only person who can broker a deal for the hammer's return is the gods' worst enemy, Loki - and the price he wants is very high.

The SJW crap begins
Revisado: 05-27-22
If you are looking for a book to ruin what would’ve been an excellent series with political garbage and moral trophy giving, look no further. The sword of summer was so good! Such potential wasted!

Historia
In the third book in Rick Riordan's epic Norse mythology series, Magnus and his friends take a boat trip to the farthest borders of Jotunheim and Niflheim in pursuit of Asgard's greatest threat. Life preservers are mandatory for this wet, wild, and wondrous adventure.

So sad
Revisado: 05-27-22
The SJW crap continues and makes for a poor ending to what could have and what should have been an excellent series. The first book was great, the rest, more boring politics.

Historia
Magnus Chase has always been a troubled kid. Since his mother's mysterious death, he's lived alone on the streets of Boston, surviving by his wits, keeping one step ahead of the police and the truant officers. One day, he's tracked down by an uncle he barely knows - a man his mother claimed was dangerous. Uncle Randolph tells him an impossible secret: Magnus is the son of a Norse god. The Viking myths are true. The gods of Asgard are preparing for war. Trolls, giants and worse monsters are stirring for doomsday.

Exceptional
Revisado: 05-25-22
This was an incredible book to read. It was entertaining and fun. Furthermore it used a lot of historical figures and stories making it even more fun to read for the Norse Pagan or Norse history buff. Having heard all three books in the series, the first is by far the least political and the most interesting which tends to correlate in entertainment.
