Matt and Carly’s story is the third book of the series set in Manning Grove. Matt is back home from multiple tours in the military. Matt has joined the police force with his brothers Max and Marc. Carly is a doctor that Matt finds himself drawn to. Matt is closed off from his family and he is struggling to survive in his daily life due to PTSD. Matt and Carly agree to a causal relationship, yet it does not take long before they are fighting their feelings for each other. This is an especially touching story because not only do we get to witness Matt and Carly’s relationship develop, we also see how broken and vulnerable Matt is and his fight to get better for himself and for Carly.


A bonus with this book is that we also get "Teddy: A Brothers in Blue" Novelette. Getting a more personal glimpse into Teddy’s life was a joyful experience.

Marc and Leah meet on the job. Marc is Leah’s Field Training Officer, unfortunately, Marc does not think women should be police officers. Leah has worked hard to become a police officer and she is not going to let Marc stand in her way. Instantly Marc and Leah are attracted to each other and their off time is filled with hot sex. In addition to enjoying Marc and Leah’s journey, we can check in with Max, Amber, and more beloved characters from the first book in the series. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes opinionated, sexy men, and strong women that can bring them to their knees.

When Max and Amanda meet they instantly dislike each other yet there is definitely an attraction. Max and Amanda's attraction turns into a hot, intense relationship. Jeanne St. James has created another world to fall in love with, that includes an alpha male, a strong female, and riveting secondary characters. Jason Clarke and Ava Lucas bring Max and Amanda to life with their seductive and captivating narration.

“Guts & Glory” Ryder

I love Ryder, he is all male with southern charm. As a member of the Shadow Security team, his job is to do whatever needs to be done. Ryder likes sweet and easy. Kelsea, part of a MC family, is the opposite of what Ryder likes. Kelsea is on the path to self destruction and Ryder is tired of being sent to retrieve her back to her family. At first it seems like Kelsea is a spoiled brat, but as her story is revealed it becomes obvious that there is a lot more to her. After listening to this audible, I could not stop thinking about Ryder and Kelsea, there is something about these two. I can’t wait to listen to this story again!

"Crossing the Line"

Nash and Cross are two alpha males trying to find their happiness. Both men have spent their lives hiding a big part of themselves. On the surface they seem like opposites, but they may actually have more in common. This love story and yes it is a love story made me feel such strong emotions...that queasy feeling, despair, hope and love. Jeanne St James is one of my favorite authors and I love all of her books...in my opinion this is her BEST book. She weaves such a story that keeps Nash and Cross always on my mind and counting the minutes until I can listen to more of their story. The narrators Aaron Shedlock and Teddy Hamilton are an added bonus, they are Nash and Cross.

Hawk & Kiki

I love all the DAMC men but Hawk is my absolute favorite! Hawk is bad ass, bossy and sexy! He is the VP of Dirty Angels and he makes no excuses for how he lives his life. Hawk meets Kiki and he instantly knows that he wants her. KIki is independent, confident and dedicated to her career. Kiki is intrigued by Hawk, but does not see him fitting into her life. Hawk and Kiki are different but so perfect for each other.
