The music was nice during descriptive text. The tone, tempo, and content was very fitting to set the scene. BUT during conversational text it was distracting and overpowering making it difficult to pay attention.

Great continuation in this series! The storyline is engaging and the action descriptions put you right in the scene. The Narrator has a steady pace remaining true to the development of each character's voice, allowing you to know which character is speaking. That aspect for me, two books into this series is exciting and compelling to continue.

Great finish for a trilogy!

Narrator was fantastic! Memorable & moving when the regimen sang in support of their young commander. Battle scenes were gripping and you felt you were in the middle of the action. The story twisted and turned, who was friend or foe? I was on the edge of my seat wondering how Greyson was going to pull the Grey Death out of the trap that had all odds stacked against them.
