This books was a little off the beaten path compared to my recent reads, but I am always intrigued by history, especially war times, so I snatched this audiobook up during an Audible sale last year. The Pharmacist of Auschwitz covers the story of Victor Capesius, a Bayer sales rep who became chief pharmacist at the largest death camp. It follows not only his dealings as the pharmacist, but also personal accounts from family, friends, and survivors that eventually led to his trial after evading capture for 20 years.
I found this story intriguing and as always, learned many new things with this reading. The witness testimonies were detailed and kept my attention although the book was a bit heavy with information at times. I had known previously that there were medical experiments that took place in the camps in the form of medical procedures and medications, but had no idea that Bayer may have been involved. The information in this book was very eye opening and I absolutely recommend for any history buffs.

Six year ago Natalie walked out of Jake's life and made him promise not to follow. She was the love of his life and married someone else. Now, Jake reads the obituary of her husband and with those feelings never dimming over the six years, he sets out to find Natalie not knowing the magnitude of things he is going to uncover in his search.
This book was ok. I listened to it on Audible, and just kept finding myself not paying attention and having to rewind. I'm not sure if it was the narration or the story, but I may have liked it better had I read the actual book? Maybe it would have held my attention better? Who knows? On to the next one!

Another audio listen for me and I absolutely loved this one. This is so far a stand alone, although it is named Honey Creek #1, but there have been no follow ups as of yet.
I adored Sophie and Holden in the small town romance. Sophie was left a B&B by her grandmother and is struggling to keep it afloat. Holden returns to town to help out his aging grandfather when he is in between jobs. Their paths cross and a plan is hatched that will give Sophie the financial stability she needs as well as Holden the life status he desires. We all know where these marriages of convenience end up though, don't we? An easy, heart warming, down to earth romance without any over the top drama is exactly what you will get with this one.

I listened to the audiobook version of this book and the narrators did an excellent job on this one! I was excited to read my first book by Beth O'Leary, but seems like I did not choose the best book of hers to read as an introduction. Since reading this book, I've discovered that this is one of her least liked books. So, this wasn't my favorite, but also not my least favorite but I will be trying more Beth O'Leary in the future.
The Road Trip follows a group of people who are forced (due to unseen circumstances) to share a vehicle to make the drive to a common friend's wedding in Scotland. Among these are Addie and Dylan, who are exes who haven't seen or spoken to each other in 2 years. Also along for the ride are Deb (Addie's sister) and Marcus (Dylan's friend) and some random guy named Rodney. The book takes us along this road trip where everything that can go wrong, does but also has flashbacks to Addie and Dylans past relationship. It was a cute premise, but my hate for Marcus and frustration with Dylan was so great at times, that it was hard to get around it. Ultimately, like I said, not my favorite but I will be trying more from Beth. Also, if you have triggers, check the TW before diving into this book.

You Had Me at Hola is the first book in the Primas of Power series by this author. I definitely enjoyed the telenovela theme of this book as well as the cultural slang and Spanish family aspects. Jasmine and Ashton are filming together as leads for a new show. Jasmine, coming from an American soap opera and Ashton, a long time telenovela Spanish language actor. The forced proximity of the set allows them to develop a friendship which ultimately leads to more.
I listened to the audiobook version of this book and absolutely loved Seraphine Valentine's take on these characters. All in all, I enjoyed this book enough that I will continue this series sometime in the future to see what develops with the other Primas! Grab this one up if you enjoy contemporary romance with a bit of Latin spice!

I listened to the audio version of Fear Me after buying it a while back when Audible had a huge sale. It just wasn't for me. I gave it 2 stars, and I questioned that even. Fear Me was a bully, enemies to lovers romance. Now, this book was dark. And I am a huge fan of dark romance. But, I just couldn't get into this one. The dark, bully aspect was on another level and I wasn't feeling it. This is the beginning of a series called the Broken Love series, and honestly, I probably won't be continuing.

**Possible spoiler alert with this review. I usually do not discuss details of the book, but feel like I was unable to give my honest review in this case without a little spoiler action.**
I listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Tracy Marks and Aaron Shedlock. I really wanted to LOVE this book as I adore Kate Stewart's writing. And don't get me wrong, it was a good book, I give it 3.5 stars. This book tells the story of several soldiers including Katy, Briggs, and Gavin. Katy and Gavin have a wonderful life in the States including a young son. Gavin is a decorated Captain and has served overseas and now it is Katy's turn. Katy arrives to the battlefield ready for action and there she meets Briggs. What her, Briggs, and their fellow soldiers go through is unimaginable and that story gripped me and I couldn't stop listening. The things that I disliked most I think is how as soon as she set foot overseas, she was immediately interested in Briggs, even though she professed to be in love with her husband. That whole situation gave me a bad feeling from the beginning despite knowing that what they went through together can absolutely lead 2 people to develop an undeniable connection in the end. It just seemed like it was there from the start for me rather than spontaneously developing out of trauma. Regardless, it was a touching story and I do recommend it and will continue to love the writing of these authors, this one just wasn't my favorite, and that is OK!

“I'll be the fight when you have none. I'll be the strength when you think there's nothing left. I'll love you enough when you can't love yourself.... because we're infinite.”
I absolutely adored the conclusion of Quinn and Ashton's story, it was absolutely fantastic! These two had been through so much throughout this duet and just got the best ending. As with the other books in this Salvation Series, I really enjoyed the continued presence of the other characters from previous books. Corrinne's writing just makes you fall so deep in love with her characters that they remain with you long after you are done reading. So, if you enjoy second chance romance, men in uniform, and a close-knit group of friends, this duet is for you!

I listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Andi Arndt and Jason Clarke, who are 2 of my favorite romance narrators by the way! This book follows the Salvation Series characters Quinn and Ashton. I love this series featuring these men of uniform and I love how Corinne meshes everyone's story together and the characters continue to appear throughout the rest of the series. When Quinn chooses to return to a mission rather than commit to Ashton, she makes a choice. She has always wanted children, and as a top rated embryologist, she can make that happen herself. Just as everything is falling into place, Quinn reappears and vows to win her back. Is he too late? Will she fall again?
This book was perfect! The perfect amount of spice, angst, humor, plot drama, etc. Highly recommend this book and thos entire series. Review for book #7 coming soon!

I listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Carly Robins, Amy Landon, and Tristan James. The narration was great and kept me interested throughout. Cat Winthorpe seems to have everything - successful husband, all the money she could want, large home, vacation homes, power, etc. But when her husband hires Neena Ryder, Cat begins to question her husband's loyalty and devotion. This intensifies as Neena and her husband purchase the home right next door. Now, not only does her husband spend time with Neena at work, she begins to insert herself in their home life as well. Cat is not willing to sacrifice her lifestyle for anything or anyone and will do just about anything to secure it, but will it be enough?
There were so many twists in this story that kept me on edge the whole time. Everytime I thought I obviously knew what was going on, I was wrong. I underestimated these characters from the start! This cast of unlikable characters made for a great thriller! Absolutely recommend!
