What made the experience of listening to Cast In Stone the most enjoyable?

G M Ford writes books that are both funny and exciting, Cast in Stone is no exception. The story moves fast, is logically coherent and comes to a satisfying conclusion.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Leo Waterman, because he is likable, smart and funny.

What about Jeff Harding’s performance did you like?

Jeff Harding did an excellent job, he really brings the individual characters to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, I did laugh out loud quite a few times, which is fairly rare for me.

Would you consider the audio edition of Thicker than Water to be better than the print version?

no

Who was your favorite character and why?

Leo is certainly the star, a unique character in detective fiction

Did Patrick Lawlor do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Patrick Lawlor did an adequate job, but I prefer Jeff Harding's reading of the Waterman novels. I don't think Lawlor is particularly good at finding characterisitc voices for the individual characters and they all sound very similar.

Any additional comments?

Yes - I am not a fan of this guided review system.
