Historia
At the end of Divided We Fall, Danny Wright's beloved Idaho had been invaded by the federal government, their electricity shut off, their rights suspended. Danny goes into hiding with his friends in order to remain free. But after the state declares itself a Republic, Idaho rises to fight in a second American civil war, and Danny is right in the center of the action, running guerrilla missions with his fellow soldiers to break the federal occupation.

Just gets to be very stilted
Revisado: 04-16-23
I wanted to know how the story continued after the first book and the concept is pretty believable but the story and writing of the kids, all the romance drama just quickly loses realism and the writing got pretty annoying.

Historia
Already cited on the floor of Congress and discussed in the corridors of the Pentagon as a book all Americans should read, One Second After is the story of a war scenario that could become all too terrifyingly real. Based upon a real weapon - the Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) - which may already be in the hands of our enemies, it is a truly realistic look at the awesome power of a weapon that can destroy the entire United States.

More realistic story and warning
Revisado: 01-27-23
This book series is a pretty realistic story and warning about what an EMP or many other long term emergencies can cause. I don’t think we should build bunkers but if everyone had three months of food, and means to clean water many emergencies would go much more smoothly. It is in our interest for life and its perils in general to be more independent like our grandfathers. Because after three days of no food people tend to lose civility. This is a cheesy but realistic story well performed.

A very entertaining story
Revisado: 12-16-22
A neat if occasionally cheesy story. I love the idea of just how someone would rebuild the world. I look forward to the next one it appears is in progress.

Fun stuff
Revisado: 11-22-22
I feel like it really illustrates some of the challenges of that kind of loss. Especially disease and the increasing complexity of rebuilding. One of the more realistic and entertaining series without being too cheesy.
