Historia
Ever since I met my handsome husband Dr Gabe Bonneville, I started playing the role of the perfect housewife. He works hard as a surgeon, so I look after our home, and throw elaborate dinner parties with champagne cocktails for his best friends Hugh and Anita. He’s my safe place and my chance to have the family I’ve always wanted. I’ve managed to hide the mornings when I wake up and see a face in the shadows. I haven’t told Gabe the truth about the woman who raised me, or told him about the therapy I’ve been getting so my secrets stay hidden in the dark.

Going on my Favorite books list!
Revisado: 03-17-25
Very well written and narrated. It kept my attention from the first page. Perfect twists and I didn't guess the mystery until the author laid it out, letting me see the puzzle pieces fall into place in my own mind instead of being "told" the answer.

Nancy DREW story by teenagers?
Revisado: 02-11-25
Halfway through the book changed from a mystery thriller to a teenager Nancy DREW story with the lead character actually named Drew. Felt like the first half was written by an adult then was taken over by and finished by her teenaged son. ruined what had potential for a good story.

DI Sally Parker has a serial killer on her patch. One thing that sets this killer apart from the others she's hunted before: his willingness to leave DNA at each of the crime scenes. It's up to Sally and her partner, DS Jack Blackman, to find out why before the body count rises to double figures. While Sally is engrossed in the investigation, her ex-husband, Darryl, pays a surprise visit to her new home.

Irritating narration
Revisado: 05-12-24
Setting aside that the narrator sounded like an AI bot, the story started off interesting but went into the non-believable which made me feel frustrated and a bit like I had wasted my time listening to this book.
If I had it to do over again I would not have read this book, nor would I recommend it to a friend.

I feel like I wasted so many hours of my life!
Revisado: 02-02-24
It's hard to leave a review for the story itself because the narrator was so bad. it sounded like it was being read by a robot, No inflection, difficult to tell if a male or female was speaking, and speaks too fast pace. This would have ruined the story for me but the author did that with the totally non realistic storyline.
I listened to the last word, despite my gut feeling that this was going to be a total waste of my time, which it was. I should have listened to my gut and stopped listening many hours earlier.
I would not recommend this book in audio because of the narration and in paper or ebook become the ridiculous, LONG Drawn out story itself.

Violet knows that time is a futile healer. When she thinks of her happily married grandfather—a predator lovingly referred to as Papa—the feelings of rage and betrayal still swell. Her younger sister, Lily, just discovered the numbing truth about him. Their mother, Rose? She can’t believe it. Not Papa. Leave it alone, Violet. Focus on the now.

Wow! I literally couldn't stop listening.
Revisado: 12-17-23
If this were a physical book instead of an audible book I would call it a page turner. I literally couldn't stop listening. The author hooked me from the first chapter and the narrators helped me keep the characters separate. I was so mesmerized by this story and the way it was laid out that I had to keep going to the very last word. As someone who has been there, I truly understand the women in this story. Gregg you have my heart for telling this story so well.

Enjoying the podcasts but ...advice for Rusty,
Revisado: 09-19-23
I am enjoying the information however if Rusty could tone down the Beavis and Butthead stuff when talking about breeding and such. We listeners really want to hear your content but it gets distracting with a joke about everything that is remotely related to sex. The back and forth is fun but can get in the way of listening.
Love ya boys, but bring it up a little in maturity. 😘

Revisado: 05-04-23
I cannot believe the 5 star reviews this author received. They must be from her mother because this book was so poorly written. The storyline and wording were so immature. The background story from 11 years ago is as dumb as a B movie teenage murder script.
I feel like I wasted my time listening to this book.

The narrator is so...
Revisado: 02-09-23
The narrator is so monotone it sounds like some reading a book that they have no interest in and are just reading words. I love Ann Rules stories and have read many in paperback form but I cannot get into this story simply because of the narrators boring, flat sound.
