I had no idea what to expect when I began this book but I quickly realized it would upgrade my mental software. I will, no doubt, be considering the ramifications of what this book has to offer - from ancient wisdom to our coming AI overlords - for some time to come.

What a great listen!

I normally only listen to non fiction but this book was a very pleasant diversion. Great story, great writing, great narration. Very glad I did not listen to it while my 8 year old daughter was in the car though - some graphic content and salty language.

Zero Audio Editing. Sounds like a 1st read through

If you are starting a business for the first time, this book will offer some good insights.

If you know anything about business, this book will be a frustrating listen.

Most of the book is not focussed on the actual scaling process but rather offers a sorts of info about everything from setting up websites to hiring staff.

The narrator has a great voice but it sounds like a first read through - stumbling over words, starting and then restarting sentences, etc. For some this will be a deal breaker and make it impossible to listen to the entire book.

My 8 yr old daughter loves both Warrior Kid books

Educational, entertaining, inspiring, cool and super duper fun - according to my 8 year old daughter. When we finished the first book, she insisted I search to see there were anymore Warrior Kid books. Well done Jocko!

A Must Read For Any Musician!

What made the experience of listening to The Music Lesson the most enjoyable?

If ever there were a book made to be heard and not read, this is it!

The book is like "The Peaceful Warrior" for musicians - filled with life lessons and spiritual wisdom as told through the language of music.

Even and experienced musician will find new insights and perspectives on how to become a better musician through the delightful storyline of this book.

And I am so happy I found this book first in it's audio format and not the written page - the multiple characters, accompanying musical soundtrack and the sound effects bring the story to life in a way that would be impossible if digested in written form.

To first be enlightened by a new musical/spiritual concept and then to be able to hear it in musical form woven into the telling of the story is priceless.
