Historia
Working with thousands of patients, Dr. Gundry has discovered that the “diseases of aging” we most fear are not simply a function of age; rather, they are a byproduct of the way we have lived over the decades. In The Longevity Paradox, he maps out a new approach to aging well - one that is based on supporting the health of the “oldest” parts of us: the microorganisms that live within our bodies.

excellent book, packed with information
Revisado: 07-08-19
Very interesting book, highly recommend the listen. Great diversity of information and how the gut ties to all manner of Health. Have been on the keto diet for 19 months with great success, but this book helped full in some extra information I was unaware of very helpful. I listen to it once, then listen to it again with my wife. Now I want my kids to listen to it.

Historia
We humans like to think of ourselves as highly evolved creatures. But if we are supposedly evolution's greatest creation, why do we have such bad knees? Why do we catch head colds so often - 200 times more often than a dog does? How come our wrists have so many useless bones? And are we really supposed to swallow and breathe through the same narrow tube? Surely there's been some kind of mistake. As professor of biology Nathan H. Lents explains in Human Errors, our evolutionary history is nothing if not a litany of mistakes, each more entertaining and enlightening than the last.

Historia
Make sure the kids aren’t around! Just because you’re a grown-up doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the art of the children’s bedtime story. Nick Offerman presents this collection of 12 short stories written in the style of a classic kids' tale, but with a decidedly dark and adult approach. What really happened after Snow White died, from the perspective of the one medically trained dwarf? A naive wizard professor reports back from the trenches of an underprivileged school of magic. And much more!

Historia
In 1518, in a small town in Alsace, Frau Troffea began dancing and didn't stop. She danced until she was carried away six days later, and soon 34 more villagers joined her. Then more. In a month more than 400 people had been stricken by the mysterious dancing plague. In late-19th-century England an eccentric gentleman founded the No Nose Club in his gracious townhome - a social club for those who had lost their noses, and other body parts, to the plague of syphilis for which there was then no cure.

Whats up with the narration?!?
Revisado: 03-14-18
Would you be willing to try another one of Gabra Zackman’s performances?
No
Any additional comments?
Interesting subject matter, but really struggling to get through the narration. She OFTEN, almost every sentence, cycles between a soft pleasant voice and a brash loud annoying voice like the Paris Geller character in Gilmore girls. Really??? Does anyone screen this stuff?

Historia
When she was suddenly given the opportunity of a new life in rural Jutland, journalist and archetypal Londoner Helen Russell discovered a startling statistic: the happiest place on earth isn't Disneyland but Denmark, a land often thought of by foreigners as consisting entirely of long, dark winters, cured herring, Lego and pastries. What is the secret to their success? Are happy Danes born or made?

Beware! The sordid lives of plants behaving badly. A tree that sheds poison daggers; a glistening red seed that stops the heart; a shrub that causes paralysis; a vine that strangles; and a leaf that triggered a war. Amy Stewart, best-selling author of Flower Confidential, takes on over two hundred of Mother Nature's most appalling creations in an A to Z of plants that kill, maim, intoxicate, and otherwise offend.

Great story from these guys but Steve's wicked tooth whistle made it painful to listen to, even after turning the treble down in m car. A shame really since its so easily filtered out if audible was paying attention.

There's a pile of dystopian books out there like this. This one is a cut above, with interesting characters and story line. Story really sucks you in. RC Bray's narration is excellent.

Excellent narrations. One of the best
Revisado: 03-06-17
What did you love best about The Gray Man?
The narrations and voicings. Perfect.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Gray Man?
Latching onto an almost dead guy and launching out of an airplane with him to use his parachute. Classic. Just a good flow and storyline, no real stand out spectactular moments.
What about Jay Snyder’s performance did you like?
Everything, this guy is a master at voicings, Asian, spanish, good guy, bad guy, russian all of them.
