Historia
Ever since I first read Pride and Prejudice at twelve years old, I’ve dreamed of being Elizabeth Bennet. That dream is now about to come true. I, Monroe Wilde, the woman some could argue isn’t exactly Elizabeth Bennet material, have been chosen to play the beloved heroine for one week at Pride and Prejudice Park, a destination experience for Jane Austen devotees. To make this dream even more amazing and surreal, my best friend, the Duke of Blackthorne, Alastair Fitzroy, has volunteered to play my Mr. Darcy.

Pride and Prejudice has never been so swoony!
Revisado: 03-31-25
I absolutely loved this story and the audiobook version was a true delight! We are talking yummy yummy romance. I loved both Monroe and Fitz; the dual POV just gave so much depth and added to the romance for me. I loved Peel’s twist on Pride and Prejudice and how original everything felt. It was a super cute and fun story. Will Watt knocked it out of the park with Fitz’s accent and honestly, he can narrate Fitz taking Duke to me any day. Stephanie Rose continues to shine in her performance of Peel’s heroines and I couldn’t have asked for a better combo to bring to life this story. It’s a beautifully done audiobook and I fully recommend it!

Entertaining Christian Fiction
Revisado: 03-18-25
This was an entertaining listen with a unique plot. I liked how things worked out in the story and while it had strong Christian themes, they were naturally part of the story.

Historia
I've never been enough for the people around me, not for my parents before they died and not for the tough grandfather who raised me. When he unexpectedly passes, leaving me the famous (and failing) Sugar Maple Farms, all I want is to sell so I can leave the weight of being a Carville behind. Until Jane shows up. The woman is smart, salty, and sexy as can be. I can't admit it, but her vision for Sugar Maple Farms is captivating. Everything about her is captivating. While we spend every day arguing, I spend every night thinking about her.

Cute romcom.
Revisado: 03-16-25
This was a cute romcom with fun characters and a cute small town setting. I really liked the dual POV and overall vibes of this story. The romance was sweet and I liked the back and forth with Jane and Tripp.

Fun mystery aspects.
Revisado: 02-18-25
I enjoyed the mystery aspects of this story and the different characters. It had light Christian themes. The ending ties up this story but leads you right into the next book too.

Entertaining mystery.
Revisado: 02-06-25
I liked the mystery elements of this story. It wasn’t predictable and had a nice sweet romance that was lightly woven in. The narrator had a good accent, but sounded a little old for the main characters.

Historia
Evan Eldridge never meant to be a war hero - he just wanted to fight Napoleon for the future of his country. And he certainly didn't think that saving the life of a peer would mean being made the Earl of Whitelock. But when the life you save is dear to the Prince Regent, things can change in a hurry. Now Evan has a new title, a manor house in shambles, and a stranger for a bride, all thrust upon him by a grateful ruler. What he doesn't have are all his memories. Traumatized as a result of his wounds and bravery on the battlefield, Evan knows there's something he can't quite remember.

I, Emma Loveless, have a destiny. It's not the greatest of destinies, but when you have a name like Loveless, what can you do? I'm cursed to always be the friend, never the girlfriend. Unless you count my love affair with Duncan Hines, Dr. Pepper, and the ever-lovable Pillsbury Doughboy. It doesn't help that I have a meddling, albeit wonderful, mother who can't help playing matchmaker. Thanks to her, I can say I've been on a date with a felon. Now she swears she's found the one for me, her new optometrist, Dr. Sawyer King.

The pining and swooning were top notch!
Revisado: 12-19-24
I love this friends to lovers romance by Jennifer Peel so much and truly enjoyed rereading it by way of the audiobook version. It did not disappoint. The audiobook narrator captured Emma so well and I was getting all the secret pining and oh so swoony feels the whole book through. Seriously, le swoon. Emma feels her last name, Loveless, is a curse when a twist of fate turns the love of her life into her step-brother (no actual relation). I love her and Sawyer and all the moments Sawyer tried to show her his feelings even when she couldn’t believe or see them. They were so perfect for each. The ups and downs had me feeling everything Emma felt and oh man, I love that ending and happy ever after. I recommend this book.

Historia
Three years ago, I fell truly, madly, deeply in love. It was kind of hard not to when Cash Denton, the sexiest man alive, literally ran into me on the streets of Bordeaux, France, and kissed me. Best. Meet. Cute. Ever. That led to the best two months of my life. Or . . . so I thought, until Cash disappeared into thin air. At first, I assumed he was in a coma or had amnesia after a tragic accident, since there’s no way he would have left me. But that was just wishful thinking because, you guessed it, he ghosted me with a capital G.

This is the best spy romcom, I need a Cash Denton!
Revisado: 12-17-24
Who needs James Bond when they can have Cash Denton. This book is seriously SO good! I was hooked and absolutely LOVED it. The characters were smart and interesting. I felt totally invested in Sabrina and Cash’s romance. The plot was believable, the connection was palpable, and the characters are ones you want for real life friends. I really liked that the author allowed Sabrina to be smart and just the way her and Cash complimented each other. Their chemistry was fire. The narrators for the audiobook were fantastic. I could listen to them over and over. I felt like they both did a great job of brining Sabrina and Cash to life. Total five star read for me. I highly recommend it.

I have enjoyed Kristi Ann Hunter’s other Regency series and am glad I finally got to read this one. The premise was really unique, addressing an issue that pops up in other books but never with this take. I enjoyed the dual POV.
