Life-changing!
Revisado: 09-21-22
My heart of hearts wishes, the entire world could read, understand, and practice what’s contained in this book. How much of a better place it would be if each person was free from suffering and full of the excitement that pure awareness brings.
Thank you, Michael Singer!

Sublime!!!!
Revisado: 01-30-22
Faith Jones shares part of her life with us in an open and compelling manner. Her perspective on life is share from a young girls point of view all the way through her evolution into becoming a healed human and a successful law person.
As a former child cult prodigy, I could relate to her process of becoming her own person with full self autonomy while shedding the wicked claws of cult life and cult thinking.
Thank you for sharing your story. The world is better off because of you.

Historia
One day, on her way to a date, Isabella Huffington gets hit by a bike. What begins as a concussion with a diagnosed recovery time of seven-to-ten days becomes more than two years of debilitating pain with no apparent end and a string of unhelpful doctor and specialist visits. In the wreckage, jobs are canceled. Leases are broken. There is no second date. What’s left is Isabella, her body, and her pain. Because the source of her pain cannot be located within the body, she is told over and over that her pain is psychosomatic. And Isabella believes it, over and over.

Loved it…
Revisado: 10-28-21
I loved this audiobook in part because I am a survivor of a traumatic brain injury (TBI) and the author takes us on a candid story about life with TBI. She does a great job painting the picture of her life post TBI and by doing so allowed me to feel like I’m not the only one in the world who experienced the life she portrays.

The pain of slavery should never be forgotten
Revisado: 04-13-21
Mr. Frederick Douglas paints a picture with words like Rembrandt with paint. His story of slavery’s horrors, justified by Southern Christianity, is a beacon and a bell that should never go out and never be unheard.

Great book!
Revisado: 02-25-20
I rarely listen to true crime books, but I enjoyed listening to this one because the authors tell a fascinating story of Ori’s life, his successes, failures, government interactions( including how they will entrap and lie) in order to lock up who ever they want.
Ori’s story is a lesson to anyone who is in, or wants to get into, organized crime.
I loved the orators voice also. If I didn’t know better I’d say Ori was reading to me the entire time.

Historia
Set in post-revolutionary Iran from 1983 to 2011, this stunning debut novel follows a group of mothers, fathers, children, and lovers, some related by blood, others brought together by the tide of history that washes over their lives. Finally, years later, it is the next generation that is left with the burden of the past and their country’s tenuous future as a new wave of protest and political strife begins. Children of the Jacaranda Tree is an evocative portrait of three generations of men and women inspired by love and poetry, burning with idealism, chasing dreams of justice and freedom.

This is poetry for the soul
Revisado: 02-22-20
I listened to this book and fell in love with how the author showed me a knew world through her use of poetic prose. I wish I could see the world she sees if not only for the sense of fullness she conveys, but for the well-rounded vision she provides.

Revisado: 02-22-20
I was in a horrible car accident and had disabling head and neck pain following it. A doctor of mine recommended this book. Within a few days of applying the books principles my pain level subsided and I have since developed a practice that has helped me live a more full life post-accident.
I have recommended this for all of my friends and family who have chronic pain. I recommend it for you also.

Revisado: 02-22-20
I applied what I learned from this book on the Camino de Santiago and walked 250 miles. Before I went on the Camino I had crippling knee pain. After listening to this book I realized how I was walking incorrectly by placing my feet too far out in front of me. There are many other lessons I learned, but don't want to ruin for you.

Fascinating story!
Revisado: 02-22-20
I found this story to be fascinating. It explored and documented the mob activity where it intersected the sex industry in Las Vegas, how the federal authorities intervened and the subsequent fallout of it all.
The book is written in a journalistic style.
I found it interesting to learn how the mob sought to corner this market, how they tried to find the hacker/s to assist them, and the impact it had on local businesses.
If you want to learn about the mob in Las Vegas, 'adult entertainers', and their hidden attempts to make money then this is the book to get.
