Historia
Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator. A man powerful enough to defy the heavens. A master of martial arts. A lord of spiritual power. Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck in his body. Arrogant Masters? Heavenly Tribulations? All that violence and bloodshed? Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here. Farm life sounds pretty great. Tilling a field by hand is fun when you’ve got the strength of ten men—though maybe I shouldn’t have fed those Spirit Herbs to my pet rooster.

Really fun and funny slice of life novel. The narrator is one of the best. If you like cultivation series, this is a great take on the theme.

Historia
In the 20th century Earth sent probes, transmissions, and welcoming messages to the stars. Unfortunately, someone noticed. The Galactics arrived with their battle fleet in 2052. Rather than being exterminated under a barrage of hell-burners, Earth joined their vast Empire. Swearing allegiance to our distant alien overlords wasn't the only requirement for survival. We also had to have something of value to trade, something that neighboring planets would pay their hard-earned credits to buy. As most of the local worlds were too civilized to have a proper army, the only valuable service Earth could provide came in the form of soldiers....

Historia
A masterpiece of satire, this classic has entertained and enlightened readers the world over with its sly and ironic portrayal of human life and foibles from the vantage point of Screwtape, a highly placed assistant to "Our Father Below". At once wildly comic, deadly serious, and strikingly original, C.S. Lewis gives us the correspondence of the worldly-wise old Devil to his nephew, Wormwood, a novice demon in charge of securing the damnation of an ordinary young man.

Historia
The heroes are on vacation. Really. The wedding of Dane and Annabeth (Danabeth) is over, the team has caught their villain-of-the-month, and Hope thinks everyone deserves a break from the cycle of training and public-relations appearances. So except for Ozma and Grendel (who've decided to return to adventures in Oz) they're all enjoying the sand and the sun in Littleton. But then Shell vanishes - her quantum-neural link with Hope and Shelly severed - and Ozma and Grendel return with ominous warnings that something is happening back in Chicago.

Best yet
Revisado: 07-12-21
This is probably my favorite Wearing the Cape novel yet. Tons of action, lots at stake, plenty of personal introspection and character development. This book was fun, action packed, and gripping. Only a few things that felt out of character really stood out to me, but overall I really enjoyed this novel.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Weir is back!
Revisado: 07-12-21
After his lackluster last book, I was a bit worried about this one. It follows the same formula as his other two novels, with more in common with The Martian. Main character, stuck by himself, has to science himself out of impossible odds. It is really good, even if farther into the sci fi category than the Martian was. More crazy things happen, a bit of voodoo science that may or may not really be possible, However, most of the book is grounded in proven physics, The characters are great, the science is fun, the situations are impossible. Overall, this was simply a great read.

Historia
It's been just weeks since the state funeral for the Sentinels, Atlas, Ajax, and Nimbus, lost in the Whittier Base Attack. Astra, Hope, is recovered from her own injuries. At least physically. Mentally... not so much, but she feels ready to actively wear the cape again. Which is good since, between the revelation of her short-lived relationship with Atlas and her virally pungent public comments on the current political debate over breakthrough registration (the National Public Safety Act), she needs to raise her profile. But she's better now, steady, ready for anything. Or is she?

Fun try at Time Travel and Ret-Con
Revisado: 07-08-21
This was an interesting take at the trope of time travel and ret cons in super hero comics. I usually do not like time travel, but it worked here. The ending is actually a nice surprise, and sets up some really fun possibilities for the future of this series. Overall, a solid book that is fun, my only complaint is that most of the book feels like it is a side story, not a main novel.
