Story is seriously lacking and seems to in service to one character that is not well developed. There is a character that they use an effect on for the voice that made me want to smash my phone because it is so graining on the ears.

I couldn’t get past the misogyny of this man justifying his cheating in his wife. If that wasn’t bad enough, the father-in-law fakes his support of his daughter only to tell the son in law he sided with him he was just dumb to admit the affair. I can’t trust any pearls of wisdom from this man from that point on. Wish I could return this book.

This story read like a Sherlock Holmes in the Star Wars universe, always having Thrawn out smarting his enemies at every turn. This would be fine but the book spend too much time on his smugness, patting him on the back for it and less time on a real story. The story itself lacked for any real interest but jumped around a lot reading like a bio for Thrawn's life and accomplishments. I zoned out for most it and it was way too long. I do give credit to the gentleman reading it because he did a great job on the many men's voices, the women's voices were lacking some.
