Historia
When Frank Meyer and his family are executed during a home invasion, the police begin investigating the secret life they're sure Meyer had. Joe Pike's on a hunt of his own: to clear his friend's name, and to punish the people who murdered him. What starts out as a simple trail gets twisted fast by old grudges, double crosses, blood vengeance, and a crime so terrible even Pike and his partner Elvis Cole have no way to measure it.

Historia
Mark R. Levin has made the case, in numerous New York Times best-selling books - Men in Black, Liberty and Tyranny, and Ameritopia - that the principles undergirding our society and governmental system are unravelling. In The Liberty Amendments, he turns to the founding fathers and the constitution itself for guidance in restoring the American republic.

A Workable Plan for Saving Our Country
Revisado: 08-28-13
Mark Levin again communicates expertly what the Founding Fathers intended when they wrote the documents which would form the framework for the greatest country in the world. Politicians and justices have brought us far from this original framework.
Through readings from original documents, the intent of the framers comes alive.
Chapter by chapter, amendment by amendment, we see a way out of each dilemma; the erosion of states rights, the insidious encroachment of our personal liberties, the ballooning bureaucratic state with its unending regulations just to name a few.
Our government has grown out of anyone's control, having taken on a life of its own. Over time the citizen has become impotent to resist. Mark gives the reader hope, and a way to join the fight.
Thank you, Mark Levin. You are truly a gift from God to the quiet Patriots in America who want to help save this great land for our children and for generations yet unborn.
The reader (after the author's reading of the first chapter) is easy to listen to and follow, holding my attention by his obvious interest in the subject. The listener could not ask for better.

Another winner with Kate Flora and Joe Burgess
Revisado: 12-10-12
Daryl's Linda says:
Would very much like to see many more of Kate Flora's Joe Burgess novels! The characters are very well developed, the second book reinforcing/introducing in a wonderful way. The plot development is great, with glimpses that may point to a killer and then again may not.
So glad Chris is still with Joe and that Terry has Michelle. These intense characters need wonderful partners to help them through their most difficult days. Just enough info without embarrassing description. Being an audible addict,
The performance is very strong with the only critique coming from MY Vietnam Vet, who is insulted by the pronunciation "Nam" with a as in candy. In his year+ as a young soldier there he met many soldiers and had many friends who came back wounded or in a body bag. He also is close to many Vietnam veterans, many with PTSD never diagnosed. None of them referred to it this way. They pronounce it "Nam" or Vietnam" with a as in father. Like most Vietnam Vets, he would never voice this to anyone but his very closest friend and spouse. We owe them all our unfailing gratitude and respect.

On a cold and snowy night in Portland, ME, Police Detective Joe Burgess catches a nasty murder case: oncologist Steven Pleasant, who had a habit of picking up prostitutes, is found dead in his car with a metal rod rammed down his throat. No one wants to talk to the police, yet both his family and his work colleagues knew about his sordid predilection.

Terrific story and Narration
Revisado: 12-04-12
This is the first Kate Flora novel I have read. The story is well told with a plot which takes a turn just when you think you know just who did it and why. Excellent character development with just enough romance. Rivals or betters other crime drama writers. Cannot praise Terry Rose enough for excellent narration. Hope to see a lot more of Kate Flora and Terry Rose.

Awesome! The Great One is Right on Target!
Revisado: 06-01-12
Ameritopia should be required reading in High School civics, in College and University American and World History and Political Science classes. I listened to Liberty and Tyranny when it came out. Bought the book so I could refer back to it. At the time I felt it amazing that Mr. Levin had such a grasp on what Barack Obama wanted to do. Listening to Ameritopia gave me the historical background to understand what Mr. Levin conveys so well. To understand the goal of the state-ists and progressives opens our eyes to what they are doing each day to further their agenda. They are smarter and know what "the little people" need, and they are the ones who can deliver.
Thank you Mark Levin for doing your wonderful part to educate Americans so we can help to save our country.

Historia
The anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts one of the most dramatic stories in American history - how one gunshot changed the country forever. In the spring of 1865, the bloody saga of America's Civil War finally comes to an end after a series of increasingly harrowing battles. President Abraham Lincoln's generous terms for Robert E. Lee's surrender are devised to fulfill Lincoln's dream of healing a divided nation. But one man and his band of murderous accomplices are not appeased....

Learned much, mispronunciations irritated
Revisado: 06-01-12
Daryl is a student of the Civil War, but I, his wife, am not. I found the historical information presented in a very compelling manner. The reader needs to learn how to pronounce CAVALRY. Calvery is a place. When a word is used multiple times, wrong pronunciations are a huge irritant for the attentive listener.

The rapist left an indelible mark on their lives; now three women must live with the consequences of his violent brutality. But when he's murdered on his way to trial, the police investigation takes a scorching new focus. All three women had a reason to hate him. All three wanted him dead. But which one of them murdered him? Explosively plotted and unnervingly suspenseful, The Survivors Club sizzles from beginning to end.

Historia
Flowers is only in his late 30's, but he's been around the block a few times, and he doesn't think much can surprise him anymore. He's wrong. It's a hot, humid summer night in Minnesota, and Flowers is in bed with one of his ex-wives (the second one , if you're keeping count ) when the phone rings. It's Lucas Davenport. There's a body in Stillwater, two shots to the head, found near a veterans' memorial. And the victim has a lemon in his mouth.

John Sandford Politics
Revisado: 04-20-09
A political statement by John Sandford through his characters. Good: Vietnamese Communist Killers, and an ex-CIA Leftist. Bad: U.S. Viet Nam veterans (the old guys as he refers to them) Homeland Security under a Republican Adminstration (I agree too much power) and Republicans in general prior to the convention in Minneapolis.
This was a good hit piece before the election. Maybe now maybe Mr. Sandford agrees with Homeland Security under the new administration(the new targets are Veterans, Conservatives and Pro-Lifers).
I have read most of Mr. Sandford's books, and I usually enjoy them. This is his second hit piece on the Republicans and their convention. Now Mr. Sanford seems to have a political agenda.
I am one of the stupid old guys who went to Viet Nam. I believe Mr. Sandford has the right to write what he wants to write. I also have the right to dislike what he writes about Veterans (we all seem to be bunched together) and those who have different political beliefs.
