I mean I get it, the author is a leftist. and it normally doesn't bother me when hot button topics are brought up in stories, but this one doesn't even actually wrap it into the story. it basically goes story story fuck you righty story story fuck you again righty story story anti-individualism story story. It's funny actually, it's like they just threw a dart into the story and That's where they threw in some hot button topic.

It's Bray, but it gets better!

First of all, in answer to the authors, Dolph Lundgren and Sigourney Weaver.
I wasn't a ranger but I am prior army. The camaraderie is general capture of the military is absolutely superb in this book. I love how they bring in Brody as a valued team member. These guys make you feel like you're part of the team and I love everything they put out because of that.

Performance? it's Bray Let's talk about the book.

Where do I begin? Anspach and Cole are creating an empire. So many Secrets laid out. Seriously every 10 minutes my brain had to reboot because some revelation in this dumpster fire of a galaxy had just been revealed. At this point I don't remember how many books have been written in this series but there are pieces from all of them in this book. I have no idea how they're keeping it all straight. when I listen to these books I get sucked in. you know that feeling when you finish a book and now you have to go back to reality and you're thinking "Fuck reality, let's go back there." That is every single book in this Galaxy and this book turned that up another notch. Think of Anspach and Cole as what it would be like to be the leader of a cabal to shape the galaxy as well as the leaders to a resistance of that end. They have brought together thousands of years of struggles and deceptions, and legacies has shined the light on how well they "wrote the past". They must have a large room with sticky notes and strings going freaking everywhere. If you miss this book you are doing yourself an absolute disservice.

Seriously, Bray as always was awesome, but this was a very different storyline than were used to from the authors. I very much enjoyed the character lineup and the weird lineage issues.

Mr. Taylor, I was wondering how you would continue this series without ruining what it started as. It was wonderful and I am very excited for the next installment. Perhaps frame jack a little to hurry it along?

Seriously though if you like a different take on the expansion of humans throughout the galaxy this series is your ticket. This fourth installment was so well laid out and I appreciated the nods to other authors along the way.

Ray Porter and Jack Carr are excellent together!

Okay besides the obvious in the comment title this book is pretty damn stellar. Being prior military I appreciate the way that Jack smoothly incorporates the military life. I don't feel like I'm consuming a dictionary written by a military member for non-military to understand. The planning and description that goes on throughout his books are truly stunning. Thank you for your authoring Mr. Carr. You have true talent and your background makes for excellent backstory.

Clean... series ending?

Not as much of the action as we're used to from this series, but what action there is is super intense and the storyline very much backs it up.
